Anyone have the mid-season ender for Heroes? I missed it and the they usually replay Heroes on Sci-fi on Fridays right before BSG but they apperantly skipped the last episode and started the season over.. Damn they must save the cheerleader.

Does the cheerleader's dad have a power or is it all the Haitian? They seemed to make it a point to say Sylar was the only one with more than one power, so it wouldn't seem like the Haitian should get the nullifying deal and the memory wiping.

im pretty sure the dad is the nullifier.

Same as Selwen, and I guess that's the "secret" the haitian is about to reveal to Claire.
And now we have to wait one month to know... O the cruelty!! :o

Just my late two cents... best series on TV now. That spot used to be owned by BSG and Lost...

I've been digging this show, but I'm still waiting - this show is in the character development stage, and could become very cool, but so far it's just endless beating of character background and endless suspense, with the exception of the last two episodes.
I just started watching BSG, downloaded the first two seasons on iTunes. That show kicks Heros aside completely.

I just watched them all in order yesterday and the day before (stuck in bed with the flu) and I can't wait for the next episode next month. I just wish it didn't take so long, I watched for 11 hours and they barely had any action.
Nikki, does she even have a power or is she just nuts? Channeling the spirit of her dead sister doesn't seem like a decent super power to me.
And I don't think the Cheerleader's dad has any powers. If he did, wouldn't the professor knew about him and contacted him - not just his daughter? Though I dare say the dad is probably not quite as good as he seems.
Lastly, Ando is so worthless. He needs to develop a power or go away.

You just nailed my feelings perfectly. The show is sloooooooooooooooooow and some of the powers are meh. If you're going to have a super power and a show about heroes at least make it interesting like the cheerleader and Ato. I lost interest b/c of this.
BSG also is losing my interest though something is missing from the show :(

see thats the reason i love the show it isnt comic bookish. I love Ando, the relationship he has with Hiro is a great story.

I like Ando as well. He also plays the narrative part of the outside -- the audience -- looking in. He's us, along for the ride but not really attached to the story. I'm fine with "meh" powers. For every X-Man, there's a few Morlocks. I could do with less comic crossover and a little more ingenuity (e.g., D L Hawkins, starring as Kitty Pryde), but it's a decent spread.
The Haitian's secret -- at least one of them -- is that he can talk. Little miss mind control says at one point, "And if that Haitian could talk he'd agree." So the Haitian could be a mole from some other group, or simply a conscientious objector who's decided that Bennet's ways are not his ways. But the secret the Haitian wants Claire to keep is that he didn't mind wipe her like Daddy wanted. Daddy himself has nuthin'.
Nikki, does she even have a power or is she just nuts? Channeling the spirit of her dead sister doesn't seem like a decent super power to me.
Maybe her sister had the power, and now she dwells inside Niki? I've been waiting for her to go fully lycanthropic, given the way she's torn apart a few people. From the start, I've found Niki to be really cool -- her story started so spookily with the faces in the mirror. Some of that's worn off, but she's still really interesting, moreso with the Jessica-as-dead-sister revelation.
Something I'm missing: Why did Peter Patrelli get sick at the end there? Who was he proximate to? How did he have the vision? Is he retaining others' abilities? Getting a longer half-life in his power? Nice twist with him being the bomb. Peter is interesting. What happens when he and Sylar meet? How about the Haitian? Best of all, how about Peter and Niki/Jessica meeting up? That's what I want to see. Woman trapped in a man's body? Or does he get a double of his own?
The big question for me, though, is whether there's a meta level to the events here. Is it simply "destiny" bringing the characters together? Is Isaac really "painting the future" or is he receiving messages from a future? How much control or influence on events does future-Hiro have? What's a "rift" look like?
Also: This runs in families, so does Mohindur have a power/mutation hanging around like Shanti did (and what really happened to her)? Who is Bennet's boss? What all can Sylar do now?
Great show. Some of the dialogue rankles me, which is why it's still sub-BSG for best show on TV, but with Lost collapsing into a directionless abyss, Heroes ranks a close #2.

My initial theory to Peter's vision was he was near Sylar, breifly but still near him. Arguably the most powerful metahuman. Combine that with after taht being in contact witht he cop, who probably has no idea what his potential is, it made for a backlash of sorts. It would makes sense though if Peter got around all of the meta's he may not be able to handle the absorption of powers.

Maybe it's the dialogue that throws me? Although without anything beyond basic cable, there isn't much out there with decent lines. I've been watching Bones but, ugh, some of their lines...
My holdback for shows like this is I'm never sure how deep they actually are. It has a slight sense of being written on the fly, which always makes me hesitant to jump into too much speculation. Some writer will create something that looks brilliant, get fired, and someone else will end the series with space ninjas or some such.

I do agree with what I think you are saying, that Peter's vision does have something to do with the Radioactive Man ( /shrug, don't know his name ), but that guy escaped from custody in New York and Peter was in jail in Texas, no? It is very possible that the sickness is due to Radioactive Man because of some unrevealed part of the plot, but I don't think he was in the same jail as Peter when Peter became sick.
