China is formidable, so I befriend them! I got into imports/exports. I spent part of my summer in China working with factories who make electronics and now distribute to small business around the US and South America.

Yes, and you must mean 2 expansions back as SoF and SoD group gear is better than TSS in my respects ;P

When TSS closed we were the only guild flagged I think to get in there.

Are we talking about legit, or copycat, electronics. That would be my main concern in doing business, what with the steady stream of 60 Minute and 20/20 and Dateline episodes about Chinese pirate shops.

We make a few similar products, they are altered enough to be legal, and are branded for our customers. The rest are originals.

Anyways, whats this ghostkill thing? Been back in EQ for about 7-8 months and finding it fun again for what ever its worth.

Ghostkilling, or gking, is a cheat hack used by folks who can't game to solo kill a raid target without taking damage themselves.

They're actually getting really good at tracking down those bastards and banning them and tracking the equipment won that way.

I do remember, lol.

I am unsure about it now, but we had a pretty sick run at it for about a year.

I would say we probably decked out 100 characters in total, and had about 10% banned.

Was an easy way to make a living off a relatively dead game I guess :devil

Toons are still sellings quite well for a "dead game".

I know of a druid in our guild that went for well over 1200 bucks.

It's amazing, but as long as the game still puts out expansions that > most games I'd have to say it still has a hell of a pulse ;)

CDS can suck a fat one.. its a zero sum game with no protection in case of black swan events.

HMb.ST (like i told you before) was a good play.. good intrinsic value, good business and was availible at an attractive price.. If I where you, I wouldn't want the fx exposure though.

It's interesting how my feelings for people like buyza have gone from hate to apathy and understanding. I guess it was just more personal in EQ with small servers and having a name and face to blame. Now it's done by big faceless corporations. Though griefing chinese gold farmers trying to make a living in real life did add a whole new element to the game if you're into that thing.

What he's doing is "poking fun" at my wifes death and that I raised her son who was fathered by a person who abandoned him and her at birth. Buyza so obviously is morally bankrupt but I think that was no secret here.
