I went to a rally today where Hillary gave a speach (about 200 yards from my house). She was good...no Obama bashing but the crowd was tiny...roughly about 200 people or so, considering Obama had over 35000 at his last night in Philly it's not looking too good for Hillary me thinks.

Obama will be here tomorrow 4/20 I've got tickets so I'll go and post any photos I get from there also.

Some Hillary photos:

Hillary still leading in PA. Can't generalize one town hall with the entire state. It'll really come down to voter turnout.

No, no Bill :(

I agree Thorm...but only to a point...the Clinton Rally was wide open, no tickets needed and if there was literally maybe 200 people there. The Obama rally on 4/20/08 requires tickets and there is room for only 2700 and all of the tickets are gone. I got mine and the line stretched about 4 city blocks for the tickets and that was at 9:30 AM today.

Good pics. Some of those look like something you'd see on CNN or elsewhere.

Interesting detail, Rover. We'll see how it bears out.

She was in York and Harrisburg today but I stayed away. As it were our phone has rung almost every day from both campaigns and today there were little old ladies walking door to door in my neighborhood. We did not answer b/c we are leery of little old ladies.

In all seriousness I have never seen so much hype over an election, that or I've never lived some where that was so hotly contested. Obama was in Lancaster today, again I stayed away. Part of me would liked to have gone but instead we're doing all sorts of home projects and I've no desire for traffic and crowds on my Saturday.

Both have generated large crowds when they've been in my area but if I'm not mistaken the Obama one in Philly set some sort of record for turn out?

Still, was really cool to see the pics.

Oh, I'd just like to note that Leah's mom does the events coordination for a local college that both Hillary and Chelsea have spoken at. She has mentioned several times that these guys rarely "schedule" appearances and their campaigns will say hey we may be coming you got room? We'll let you know sort of thing. It drives her batty and I suspect ticket based events are going to have more of a turnout. We didn't know she was coming to our town until literally hours before she was coming.

I went to the Obama rally at Reading High School and it was a completely different experience. Very full of people, well over 2000 and extremely vibrant atmosphere even with it raining today.

The guy is the political equivilent of a rock star.

I took two digital cameras along with my workhorse 35mm's, I'll post those when I get them processed, and here are a few of the digitals.

How was the speech? What else can you say about the gathering other than it was vibrant? Any interesting details? I've never been to one of these before.

Edit: Nice pics btw... very well done on those. How'd you manage to get different angles? Were you allowed to move around to take pics?

His speech was excellent, and was one of the reasons for the vibrant feeling of the rally. It was a short speech, very to the point and then it went into a town hall type meeting with audience questions. He did very good answering with what seemed to be no politicking and no pandering, he seems pretty genuine.

He worked the crowd at the end, I shook his hand and he looked directly at each person and interacted with each of us. Hillary was different and kept saying that they had to hurry and leave.

I was able to walk around and get different shots from almost anywhere I wanted to park myself.

We've been visited 2x today and once yesterday. I can't wait for Tuesday to be over and past.

On a side note, there is a headline floating around the various media outlets concerning the speech he gave at the rally and it states: "Obama says McCain better than Bush".

LOL...he didn't say that.

He said "Any presidential candidate would be better than Bush". Gota love the so called "liberal media" their not liberal they should be called the "Headline Media"

If you hadn't noticed, the Philadelphia Inquirer has been heavily backing Clinton. I think Wright was a headline front page above the fold for well over a week, just as example.
