View Full Version : hmm new look on the matrix story.
After spending the afternoon reading stuff about the matrix (there is one french guy that made a site about the matrix and truely this guy seroiusly has some badass knowledge :) I came to a conclusion:
There are 3 level of interpretation for the matrix story:
Level 1 : 90% of the watchers. Just watching the movie and enjoying the action not bothering with the rest.
Level 2: 9% of the watchers. People used to watching movies and trying to figure out stuff. lleauaric's link on ayonae ro.
Level 3: 1% or less of the watchers. People extremly erudites with a very high QI. That give us that :

This was mostly written before revolution and explain about everything that is illogic in matrix 3. Actually they couldn't have done revolution better than that. Its just most people didn't understood the movie (including me) :) Now its just a theory but I think its the best I have seen so far and almost 100% credible. Only way to get closer now would be the brothers to tell us the real truth :p
Ps: French site for people that can read it:www.matrix-happening.net/ (http://www.matrix-happening.net/)

People really give the Wachowski brothers too much credit.
It's like every fanboy of the first Matrix movie desperately, somehow, tries to make the whole thing make sense by patching up every hole the brothers ever made, or rewriting the stuff they did that didn't make sense.
I'm sure the W-brothers had more on the matrix universe than we were let in on during the movies... but seriously, you guys are going way overboard with trying to patch shit up.
It's like you want it to be great so you make it great.
Err no offense but for one you probably didn't read and for 2 there isn't stuff "made up". Its merely pointing out little things most people don't notice. You can't read french tho, the french site was much more interesting but most people can't comprehend it hehe.

Personally..
Im not sure..
There is DEFINITLY more than meets the eye in the Matrix movies..
I think we, as a society have become VERY intellectually lazy. At some point we seperated Art from Entertainment. We expect to be spoonfed and have it all worked out for us. No allusions or symbolism beyond basic common knowledge.
We have become a society of the lowest common denominator.
The best example of the opposite of this is the Mona Lisa.
On the surface layer, its a nice picture, beautiful even, the work of a master. Iconic..
But there is SOOOOO much more to than meets the eye going there.

See.. agree, disagree with message, thats not the point.. People before the "Age of Spoonfed" thought circles around us.. check out that site www.aiwaz.net
The world is full of inner more complicated meanings.
We have stopped looking for them.
Now Im not saying that the Matrix is a riddle like this.. that there IS a message that is not easily read..
Maybe the W Brothers simply tossed all these allusions, metaphors, references and unattached symbolism for no reason. Maybe just to create the illusion of depth.
Im hoping thats not the case.. Everything SEEMS to be pointing to something.. but whats the inner message?
Could the W Brothers just TELL us?
Duh.. No.. that would ruin the entire point.

The truth is not what the creator actually wanted to say, thought, meant.. the truth is what you make out of it.
No, maybe the creators of Matrix didn't put half as much thought and complex thinking into that movie then some people make out of it. But it doesn't matter.
What matters is how it can be interpreted. Finding the truth, looking at the story and take everything apart, this is what matters.
It doesn't matter at all if you write a 1000 pages book with the absolute truth of life in it with huge wisdom and knowledge and endless thought about it... if noone reads it and thinks about it.
Works the other way around aswell.

It's like you want it to be great so you make it great.
If this statement is true, then why? Why so many people are trying to find what is behind the Matrix? Only because they want it to make it great? "Please." ;)
Or maybe they think that the subject, the references and the hidden meanings are important, are further than all the CGI in the 3 episodes all together?
Let's be crazy and say it like this... Maybe some people think Matrix asks interesting questions, with deep roots from our society, and with interesting answers?
A interesting movie with a deep reflexion post watching? Oh man they ask us to use our brain again!! ;)

Whoever wrote that thing sounds like the kind of person who should have written the 3rd, and possibly the 2nd one.
A reversed role.. That the machines were controlled by humans and the humans enslaved by the machines were ones who allied with them when the machines rose up, and now they're being used to power their masters and former allies in a "chain of life"
Thats not what he said exactly, but that plot sorta popped into my mind. I had heard about a 3rd Matrix though, but i wasn't sure how people were explaining.. that was an interesting read. Thank you for posting it. :D

...
That was written before revolutions, and theres 2 HUGE flaws in it,
First of all, when a human(robot as this guy says) dies, wouldnt they cut him up and do an autopsy(sp!), they would be able to see hes a robot if he was, then theres the fact that, what theres 6 billion AI minds plugged into the matrix and all of em have a robotic body.. and why?

'If I'm an Evil Robot Empire and I take over the world, am I going to keep my enemies alive to use as captive batteries?
-- HELL NO! It would be in my best interests to utterly *exterminate* my biological opposition.
As I've said in another thread, using living organisms as a power source is inefficient by the laws of thermodynamic loss'
- Stopped reading there.
It's like... get a life.
PLEASE.
It's like saying "Why didn't Gandalf just shuve the One Ring up his ass where no one would find it?"
BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T MAKE FOR A VERY INTERESTING FUCKING MOVIE, WOULD IT?!
For the love of..

First Gandalf can't touch the One Ring.
Second the W brothers already mentionned that they knew it's not efficient to use humans as power, you get more energy burning corpses. But they kept it just for the sake of the story.
