Kumar in the White House... So fucking silly haha.
To be fair, though, the position that he has accepted will benefit from his celebrity. It's not like they completely ignored qualifications when hiring him.
Still, this guy is going to be working on the White House compound, and he's famous for a movie where he smokes pot and goes to White Castle.
I just watched Harold and Kumar 2 the other day. He splooges all over his face... And he works in the White House... :D

Yeah, maybe for some elected officials and shit. Not a fairly high ranking bureaucratic position.
NO ONE would get that job without an assload of experience in Washington. I don't give a shit what degree you have.

Aye, but it's an example of ole Washington and putting people in positions because they know someone that knows someone that knew a guy who knows things right?
That's part of Washington that we don't vote in or out but is part of the behind the scenes power crew yes?

Right. But to get the type of connections you would need to be offered a position like this, you would have to put in years out here. Or be one of the lucky few who were promoted from inside the Obama campaign.
I'm not saying I don't like this. I think it's hilarious. I'm just sure there are plenty of pissed off bureaucrats who think it's ridiculous that the guy from House just became their boss.

it's on USA for like 3 hours an evening and not hard to catch up to the major story arcs. It's a great show.
