Honestly, do yourself a favor and don't move to Houston. Worst city in the US I've ever been to. What a shit hole.

Houston is such a better place without fags like Kelraz there I'm overjoyed he's not motivated to go!

I haven't really kept up with who was still in the area, Faledora lived on the north side last time I spoke with her and the crazies but it's been a long time. IIRC that was probably contemporaneous with the last time you were through.

Ya most of our plants are on the east side of Houston(Deer Park, La Porte, Baytown, etc) But this job is more money in a cheaper area so I am all for it.

Corpus is a nice sized town (~300k residents) right on the Texas Coastal Bend and while it has its share of pollution problems, is much *much* cleaner and more pleasant than the Baytown area east of Houston. Most of the barrier islands have been preserved as national seashore and there are numerous nice places to fish or get away from it all - and the town is quaint, hasn't grown too quickly, and the housing is affordable. Also, Texas A & M Corpus Christi just built a brand new 57 million dollar Marine Science center on the campus there (opened 2006 I believe), assuming you plan to stay there a while...

I go down to Corpus a few times a year so if you find yourself down in that part of the state, let me know.

Regards,
Nydia

My wife's family lives in Flourbluff and I have been there all of one time to visit. I doubt I will attend A&M unless I want to upgrade my degree. As of right now I need 3 classes for my BS in Nuclear Engineering Technology.

I am just hoping I am offered a decent relocation package from work to head down there. Right now Air Products is making a move into the Corpus are in the Hydrogen market.

Corpus is nice, the wife and I go down there every other 3-day weekend I get. Edit: and Port Aransas is nice too, decent beach and not too far away from there either.

Good luck with it. Sounds like a nice opportunity.

(A tad off topic, but does anyone know if Mario's Flying Pizza is still in the Galveston area? If so, I would recommend going there for dinner some night)
