Being one of the recent ones, I was just curious as to how many of us there are?

Some people come back, some people have found other loves (I know some of ye disagree, but I'm having a BLAST on SWG), and some people have quite MMORPGing altogether, but still frequent the boards.

I quit EQ over a year ago, and have not picked up any other mmorpg since then. Im considering playing WoW but its very likely that I will not. And Ill probably keep reading and posting here until the moderator that owns it at the time decides to close it down :p

Quit sometime before last summer.

I quit about 9 months ago minus a one month come back. Account is currenty inactive again and is staying that way. I don't think I'll ever come back to MMORPG's unless 2 things happen. 1) My free time is drastically increased. Which is not going to happen with a 40+ hour a week job + a 6 year old daughter + a new grand daughter + my jeep which is always needing more modifications. And last but not least 2) This comp is so old Tribes 2 is slow as shit on it :rolleyes . I am in drastic need of a faster comp. Thought about trying Horizons but I can't even meet the minimum req's....:rollin

I havent played in hmm 8 months or so maybe, dont plan to play again. Still post here once in a while.

I quit in august... good news I just got my grades back today, I've always been a struggling student, my highest gpa in college so far has been a 2.46... this semester I got a 3.5, so fuck EQ I'm never going back if I'm keeping up these grades.

It wasn't the draw of the game that brought me back. The game isn't half of what it used to be. Old content > anything that has been thrown at us recently.

Also old friends have moved on. The majority of the 'New Breed' as I refer to them are retarded. Still, it's a fun way to waste time if you have time to waste.

I quit EQ five times. And I just returned yesterday. Does that still make me an Ex-EQer?

Officially quit in July 2003 though I didn't play much at all after March 2003. Never coming back. I miss my friends, but I still talk to a lot of them on AIM and most of them quit EQ by now as well. Still post here from time to time.

I occasionally read these boards still, but not nearly as often (maybe 3 times a week).

Real Life is just so much more important than a game to me, I just wish I would have felt that way 4 years ago when I started playing this.

I quit for almost a year and a half without looking back and found my CD's after a move about a month or two ago and reinstalled and reactivated my long dead account and started over with a new character. But I still haven't found the fun that I used to have in the game.

I think you can let go of the game, but the people and experiences that you shared still lingers and perhaps is the draw back to the game and boards. At least it was for me. (I trolled the boards even when I quit EQ) :D

My account runs out... sometime soon. Not sure when though. I haven't attempted to renew it. I have not played for a long time, but I am not sure when I officially said, this isn't fun any more.

I just reinstalled it yesterday *glares at Laeyakk* and went in for a few moments... Didn't stay.

I doubt I will ever return to playing regularly. I doubt I will renew.

I rarely come here any more, although have started to a bit more of late. Kind of odd when I think back and remember I was a board supporter and actually applied to be a mod once.

I quit sometime in the summer. I'm currently knee deep in elementary kids, doing my student teaching and hopefully graduating cum laude in the spring. I'm also getting married on Dec 18th this year =D
Currently Lydirn is the village bicycle on Stormhammer last I checked. (Everyone's had a ride). The only difference between when I played in EQ and when I sold him is that money is being passed around. Just ask Zehn.
Otherwise I'm waiting for WoW beta before I get back into playing games. I've been keeping myself busy with lesson plans and wedding plans. Just wanted to say hi to everyone I haven't seen in forever. Hi.

I would have to say I quit playing EQ regularly back in June of 2001. I have re-activated my account on and off through the time but I would generally play sporatically for a week then not play for a good 2-3 months then I would be back. However, I think the last time I logged on was Oct.2003 and don't think i will come back. It seems every time I do log on it's just harder and harder to find a group.

As a side note, I probably click on this message board 2-3 times a month and often I just seem to find people complaining about the same shit they did years ago. Not much has changed in EQ.

I on occasion play Anarchy Online but so little that it's hardly worth mentioning. I would say I am more of a real life person now, spend time with my family and friends. I finally took the time to get my 95 mustang sooped up and spend much of my summer racing it at the local track or cruising the hot summer nights.

Once in awhile I like to check out how people/guilds are doing, but I try to stay far away from EQ. For the old EQ'rs looking for a little non rpg crack try playing Wizardry 8. It a pretty sweet game.
