Read that this morning on CNN.com. Definitely a very interesting story. I'm sure many will sweep it under the rug and attribute it to sour grapes. To me, it helps to illustrate the bungling of the war from the early days. It shows a mishandling of the war from the top, and really is anything in this article a surprise?

Pass the buck, make someone else take the blame. It's been the mantra of the current administration. Be it Iraq, Katrina, the economy, 9/11 (blaming prior administrations instead of looking at the evidence of an upcoming attack in the days/weeks/months leading up to the hijacking), etc.

I'll belive a man of this caliber and dedication before i'll ever believe anyone connected to this administration!
How many "former" generals does it take to point the finger( both vertical and horizontily ) does it take for the truth to become apparent?

Or better, what does it take to actually start a real, formal investigation into these lies? This is beyond embarrassing.

it is impossible. No politician will out it forth and risk charges of anti Americanism/patriotism, and any serious debate would be labeled as hate speech. Sadly we are doomed because our leaders are not only corrupt, they also seem to never learn from history

You are absolutely correct, the current "Are you a patriot" crap is and probably will be the most damaging and shameful thing to ever overtake this country. It's a great diversion of the issues, McCarthyism at its lowest.

People fall for this patriotic crap like an anvil dropped from a cliff and it's utterly disgusting. Think about this, the only people prosecuted in the Abu Gharib fiasco was a mildly retarded woman, or at least that's how she was presented, from the PA national guard and her boyfriend, not one decision maker, military or civilian, was more than slapped on the wrist over that.

It's like everything we were ever taught that was the most evil human rights abusing things the Soviet Union had to offer and everything that allowed Hitler to come to power is becoming accepted as normal here.

In all my years, even in the turmoil of the '60s and early '70s I never heard the word "Sedition" uttered by anyone, including our government, but now it seems to be a common threat that follows the standard you are unpatriotic bullshit.

I hope that this November those that go to the polls choose the president not based on whether you would drink a shot and a beer with them or whether or not they wear a flag pin.
