Watch it - yeah it's for kids, more than the Shrek series IMO, but it's bloody good fun. Nice to see non-pixar successes every now and then.

It was amazing. We went and saw this and Clash of the Titans last week, I wish I saw this twice and left Clash back in 1981.

I saw it Friday in 3D. Great animation, decent story, solid presentation. I enjoyed it immensely.

I saw it in 3D too, and I can't help but think that it would have been just as good in 2D. I'm starting to get tired of the 3D fad to be quite honest - the effects aren't amazing enough to merit wearing the stupid goggles.

Agreed Kelraz. It felt like I was looking at a shoebox most of the time, the background was the back of the shoebox, and the characters and scenery were cutouts. So far, Avatar has been the only movie that I think has done 3D "right" because it was filmed with multiple angle shots to create a more appropriate depth of view.

I saw it in 2D on Saturday. I was looking forward to this movie even before it was getting good reviews. I really enjoyed it. Something I like about Dreamworks' "kids" movies is that they can still be a little gritty.

The battle with the giant dragon at the end and how they killed it, for instance. Plus the consequence at the end of the movie. It seems like it's all one way or all the other in most movies.. either one of the protagonists dies or there is no lasting consequence what-so-ever. I was afraid for a moment that they were going to have Toothless die. Glad they didn't.
