Personally, I am getting tired of people flaming their ex guilds. I think if you find yourself in a really evil guild, you should expose it before you leave. You still have access to GMOTD and forums and can watch the paranoia while they try to figure out who you are. Who knows? It might even make some officers think twice about screwing folks over.

Take my guild, Violent Tendencies. A nice group of people. But the officers are some real morally devoid hypocrites, who I have grown to loath.

Example:
Recently, VT got into one of its rare raiding cycles (always Chardok.) When the GL, Divinty, and her husband Unien realized that most of the live players had left, they had a recruitment phase and “absorbed” Blessed Union of Drunkards. After the honeymoon period, excited by the temporarily full roster, another VT officer decided to flex his guildremove muscle on one of them, and all BUD quit in disgust. In an effort to try to discredit BUD, Divinity removed their forum access, and Unien posted a PRIVATE conversation he had with one of them.

As far as removing access to the forums for people who quit the guild "in disgust", it would be common sense to remove access. Would you let an employee keep the keys to your buisness if he quit because he was mad at you?

Was that conversation posted in an open forum? If it was in their members only section, it's not exactly posting it for everybody to see. It's a fairly common reaction when people quit a guild for others still in the guild to take it personally, if the conversation was posted to clear up or shed light on the situation then it would be in the interest of the guild to be able to read it.

If a thread has gone past that level long before a mod or admin gets to it, it gets moved. Its often on a case to case basis, imple as that. This is an everquest board, for an everquest community. We deal with eachother in said community on a daily basis and I am, in said community known as Hubbe. Within the community I am hardly anon, and my handle under my posts tell those that read them who I am ingame (which is the "RL" of this community in a sense). I personally had an issue with Divinity and Unien destroying Angels of Fate which I was an officer of a long long time ago.

After I left, I hear she pushed all the founding members out and made the guild her own... then i guess it fell to shit and she made another guild.

Since you seem to "know" wtf your talking about with comments about Angels of Fate and its history then you know with the exception of only the original guild leader I am the only player still playing EQ that was a member pre-Divinity, pre-Unien,pre-Naeni,pre anyone in VT ( the guild which is ex-AoF).

The original owner of the guild being an asshole? Wrong.

He and I may not have agreed on some topics, but to state he is an asshole is offbase.

Sometime when you have your head out of your ass, take the time to ask Divinity and Unien how they got into AoF to start with. Yes, I am the one to blame for that.

Early on they seemed like great folks and were fun to hang out with. As time went on strong armed tactics began to surface from them. The guild leader at the time ended up taking what was left of the folks in AoF, who still had some sense of what the guild charter stated and played by left and formed a new guild.

Anyway, I won't put everyone to sleep about all the history stuff etc. If you would like history lesson about AoF (VT's beginnings) send me a tell Nagianakihma.

Otherwise don't speak out against the leadership less be treated like so many I have seen in the past.

Heehee they are together and the same old guild of kick ass people that are some of the finest and funnest people to play with. Wonderful guild and great people! I was one of the original 10 members that started the guild and Yes it is the most kickass name in EQ! If you ever get the chance to group with any of them do it! They rock and are very selfless people who are an absolute blast to play with. Do to a promise to a friend I am no longer in the guild "She started a guild she had a long time ago back up so I joined Cymbrogii with her and her husband" but still love to chat with BUD and if they didn't level so much faster than me would still be grouping with them!

Divinity made a guild of her own that SHE owned. As I stated before, Guild leader and Guild owner are two totally different things. You can be a guild leader and not OWN the name of the guild because you weren't the original creator of that name.

What would keep the original owner of the guild name from coming in after being gone for, forever, and dissolving it himself on a whim? What keeps him from taking credit where it was NOT due? What keeps him from bragging on the Guild being what it is "today" because of him? Thanks! Other than the problems I have had in the past with guild members being harrassed in the guild I ran after leaving AoF (ones that didn't even know who AoF was) I am happy with the name I made.
At least I use my actual in-game name in posts.

Not that anyone outside of VT needs to know our business, but since a few of you seem sooooo entralled by what we're doing, I'll take the time to register a name here and give you some straight info.

Violent Tendencies used to be grouped under the guild name Angels of Fate. Bama/Bitty is the owner of that AoF name. He started the guild and its his to do whats fit.

Bitty decided to leave the guild he started to persue other things. At which point the leadership tag was passed to one of his freinds, Vahlen. Well Vahlen left the game for a time and gave the tag to Divinity, whos had it ever since.

People come and go from a guild for whatever reason. Most leave on good terms and reguardless of what happens, we wish them well. A few duds that have somehow ended up here have been pushed out, that much is true. Were a much better guild with them gone. =) But let me jump back for a minute here..... When you start a guild, no matter who you transfer the leadership to, YOU still own the name. You have the option, even if you dont have the tag, to disband the guild at any time or get the leadership tag back from a GM. We decided as a current guild, that even though we enjoyed the AoF name, it was time to keep our guild secure by forming our own new guild with a creator whos not going to be leaving. Hence, the name change and a new beginning.

Not that any of this is a big secret, but there seems to be some confusion as to what the truth is here.

I also so a few past AoF/VT members that have posted here with their bitter little snipes. lol I have some cool advice for you. You decided to move on from our family. So do just that. Move on! lol I'm sure you have much better more important things to do than worry about what ole VT is doing.....

I am guessing that the letter you are referring to is the one Divinity wrote to me at the time I resigned from VT, and I am asking you to please not publish that letter on this forum.

I admit I have shared it with several people, but only people who knew me and the other players involved. You print it here, where most people don’t know me, and someone might actually believe some of the rants. To have someone tell lies with that amount of vehemence is unnerving. I know, because I spent several days convinced that a RL friend was hacking into my computer, based solely upon allegations in that letter. I even confronted him. *shudder.*

And yes. We did have a “Vote for Your Favorite Part of Div’s Hate Mail” contest, which was probably cruel. But in the end there were only about 8 people who participated before we lost interest. I am surprised that there are still copies around.

Continuing with these attacks on these people and VT serves no good. No one is going to change their behavior. You need to get out of there and move on. I guarantee you will be much happier almost anywhere else.

Divinity truly believes that I hacked into Maxx’s email, stole her pics, and hacked into his EQ accounts for good measure. On top of that, I sent an anonymous letter from my home computer, because despite being this expert hacker, I’m completely unaware that you can trace IP addresses. My motives were/are I was stalking Maxx, and jealous of her. The hatemail outlines my crimes, motives, and her proof. She has sent me 4 letters on top of this hatemail, full of “proof” that I did all these things. She has found proof all over the place. She is still finding proof today.

Divinity desperately needs to believe this illogical story because if she doesn’t, she will have to accept the far more plausible one. That she sent her pictures to a man who then used them to play games with other women. You see, even though they are not porn, (Amish porn—I love it) the pics are somewhat "intimate." And to have that intimacy betrayed is more than her ego can take. It might mean that she isn’t the Queen Bee with all men as her loyal, admiring minions.

So she will continue to rant, find evidence, make long intricate posts full of "proof." I could logically counter this latest piece of evidence, and post the letter where I told her I had been forwarded this particular hatemail. But why bother?

I just ignore it, and most other people aren’t interested. Stop arguing with her, please, at least on my behalf.

Yep...was well worth the money to John and I, especially since he thought he was going to have to move his monk here from Erollisi and lose everything on him. As it worked out, he didn't have to do that...plus we were able to re-equip the cleric my friend gave me because she DID lose everything that was on her.

I hope you bringing this all back up again was worth it to you. I hope that somehow you are getting some small piece of satisfaction from all this...although I do not see how. It's done and over with and water under the bridge now. I don't consider myself a 'minion' of Divinity. I consider myself her friend...someone that I talk to every now and then on the phone. How many times have you seen me drop whatever it was that I was doing to grab my cleric and give someone a 96% rez? How many times...if any...did I give you a rez or ported you? Maybe none...maybe a dozen? Who knows since you seem to want to keep this anonymous game of yours going? Most of the people in our guild was like that...a lot of times everyone would drop whatever they were doing to go help someone on something that just spawned...etc.

What naancii didn't realize is that since she decided to quote me word for word on the post I answered of Kam where I said, "that does sound like fun" - it was really easy to check the IP from everyone that viewed that particular post and lo and behold, there's Maxx's name as viewing the post - under naancii's IP.

She's checked that post 55 times and Maxx actually hasn't looked at the post at all. God, they're not even in the same time zone...

Just to set the record straight....

1.) I started AoF.
2.) Divinity swiped the leader tag without permission from the current leader at the time while he was out of the country.
3.) Divinity refused to give the tag back when asked about it.
4.) ALL the founders had officer alts remaining in the guild (Divinity couldn't stand that) and we did not like the things that were becoming associated with the AoF name.
5.) Divinity disbanded the guild and once disbanded I regained possession of the stolen leader tag so that further instances of tarnishing AoF would not happen.
6.) Divinity starts VT (grats, its about time)

I do not think Divinity is a bad person, she just likes to be in charge and at times has acted based upon some bad information (/point Raven). I used to enjoy talking to her. If you have no problem with the way she runs her guild then I am sure it is right for you. If you have issue with the way she runs it then leave.

All in all, things are best now that she has a guild that is 100% her own and can run it anyway she wants.

Oh, there are a few minor problems with your story, like I use AOL so I have a totally different IP address every time I log in. And I don’t accept cookies. And I don’t know maxx’s birthday. The details are sort of tricky on this one, so I want you write a nice long answer, and throw some “Fuck you’s” and “Fuck Off’s” so we know you are telling the truth.

But I am damn serious about one thing. How do you know everyone’s password? You have your own server and administer your own website, so there aren’t any safeguards for people like there are when a site is run thru EZBoard. You already admit to tracking lots more data on the site than most Guildmaster’s would ever bother with. I have suspected for a while that you can just basically look up people’s passwords. And if someone were to use the same one for your forum that they use for other applications, like their EMAIL account, you could get right in there, couldn’t you?

And we all know by now that several people have found you to be less than totally honest.

Tag was never stolen, Vahlen passed it on or else I never would have had it. Was never asked to give it up. If you've been told that, that's false. Yes, disliked people being officers in the guild that weren't even active and their mains moved on to other guilds. The owner of a guild can take back the guild leadership tag at any time - was the entire reason we started VT. If you wanted it back, there would have been nothing anyone would have been able to do. No debate.

Neither here nor there - but you're right, if you don't like how a guild is run, you should get out and stop wasting your on line time. I had enjoyed our talks in the past as well. You were great when I got the tag and I appreciated the support. It's too bad it turned out this way.

Let me say in reply to one post I read that I was the one that caused the issue with the BUD members. I don't think any of them have any issues with Div. Hello Bright.

I remember the time we spent in AoF also. Although I have to think you have me mixed up with another person. You state you remember helping me out when I was level 12, then you took a break 30's, break 40's, break 50's well this confuses me because I wasn't even on the Ay-Ro server in my teens and 20's. I was in my early 30's when I came to this server from the Karana server when Ay-Ro was created in Dec. 2000. I moved at the same time Bama,Algonquin,Nessa,Allurielle and a few others moved.

I met Divinity and Unien at the freeport docks one day, ( they were mid teens to early 20's in level if I recall correctly, I was mid to late 40's). Divinity had mentioned something to the fact its a shame they made her character look like she wore her underwear on the outside of her armor. We all had a good laugh, and knowing how it felt to wear armor that either was ugly and/or crappy I gave her 50pp (or some small total of plat) to help her on her way to improve the armor situation. 50pp at this time is a drop in the bucket for any of us, but at the time it was a pretty decent sum on pp for myself and to her.

Divinity, Unien, myself and Algonquin chatted while waiting on the boat to show up. Once it came, they boarded and a few days passed.

After a couple days I sent tell to see how things were going for them. She was happy to receive the tell, and had stated she was "upset" I sent tell cause she was going to send a thank you tell after a day or two had passed.

As time passed we all chatted, and I offered a guild invite to them, they accepted.

Once Vahlen left for over seas, things "changed". It may not be fair to lay all blame on Divinity's or Unien's shoulders as to the problems but I do feel they along with Raven played a part in things going south.

To describe where the bitterness comes from:
I didn't hold a big grudge when I left AoF, but I knew it was time to leave for myself. The problems came about when after a short time I was running the guild Kindred Heroes and would have guildmates (ones that didnt even know who AoF was) asking me why they are getting spammed from AoF members about KH's guildleader being an asshole, that since they were KH they were scum etc. etc. Thats when it started to piss me off. I didn't mind getting tells of that nature, that I could deal with. But when a guildmate is standing in Oasis and a AoF member is spaming the zone with KH blah blah this and that, and sends tells to a guildmate riding thier ass, then yeah, I became bitter.

I had several rounds with the shaman Dakeyras (sorry spelling maybe a bit off on name, it has been awhile) with him sending tells about how I was a traitor,an ass, etc.

I admit, I am over due to put that stuff behind me. I held alot of bitterness due to my friends and guildmates getting treated like that. Actually with the posts of this thread and me giving it some thought I am finished with holding the bitterness. It accomplishes nothing and serves no purpose really.

Anyway, I wish you the best Bright, and all of VT to have fun, and enjoy the game for what it is.

Fact is I haven’t had time to even play EQ for the last few weeks.

But I figured my lack of response might be touted as proof that I am “guilty of something” or “intimidated.” So I replied, because I most certainly am NEITHER.

Now shout away, Div and whoever else you can convince to join you. Put a lot of hatred and energy into it, if it makes you feel better. Because you never know. I may come back in a week or so and actually read it. :)

I have a reason to bump this post. 2 months ago, I left this server, and I posted a note in the VT forum admitting to being VT Mole and apologizing to the many non involved members of Violent Tendencies if they had been hurt by this thread.

Last week I found out that my confession/apology was deleted before anyone got a chance to read it! I always suspected that Divinity deletes whole threads and edits people’s posts if they displease her, but to delete an apology shows a really profound level of control freakishness.

Well, she doesn’t have complete control over this forum. And while the apology is late, here it is. Sorry if my actions hurt the non-involved members. I only wished for folks to see what was going on. I started intending only to publish the facts, but ended up throwing mud. I regret if some innocents got splattered.

I also want to apologize to the folks who were sick of this thread. But I am glad there are forums like this, which serve to give control freaks pause. A Free press is the nightmare to a dictator.

But most importantly, I want people to know that when you go to these small private forums like VT, you need to be really careful. What you read may not be what was written—especially if it involves people who are no longer able to access the forum. Also, be aware that your passwords and any personal information you supply are NOT encrypted or protected. Everything is available to the administrator of the forum.
