Those things are annoying as hell.

I went and downloaded an OLD version of AIM without the advertisements. The only problem is, of course, that it asks me every time I start it if I want to upgrade.

Aim Hack works nicely, but while you are at it, you mine as well just use http://middleman.krunchsoftware.com/ Its an awesome AIM mod with alot of commands and features. :)
