I thought it could be real until I saw the video clips. That is so insanely fake, especially the last one, with the skeleton. Most of those are done with a green / blue screen.

And if it is an effect for cameras and such, how the hell is it going to help surgeons and pilots? Will they have to wear goggles when they operate?

The Jacket the guy is wearing is just the equivilent of a Movie Theater Screen. There is a projector around 10 feet in front of him and a camera behind him. I was impressed by the shot of him standing there with a shirt displaying what was behind him, then I saw it on the news and they showed the entire setup... not very impressive anymore.
