Righteo.
Got Nero.
Got a DVD writer.
Got a movie.
Got a pack of 4.7gb dvd+r dvd's, single sided.
Got a movie convertor.
What's the what here? I tried converting the avi file in to mpeg-2 I think it was, but it would not write to a dvd.
Can anyone explain this for a simple minded man? My little niece is dying to watch Narnia.

try Aurora to Dvd Burner, it converts then burns it for ya works for me. or TMPGENC however considering I assume you didnt rip Narnia from a dvd you can really shirnk that file a whole lot so you might have to fit it on two dvds instead of one.

Also, don't send burned copies of DVDs back to Netflix like my roommate.

It's actually a very common occurence (imagine how many people burn Netflix movies on a regular basis with some mix of drugs and alcohol involved along with the process). There's some Netflix Hackers website he looked up that said one of three things happen. He got off with the easiest...they sent him an email saying he mistakenly returned a "personal DVD from his collection" to them and they sent it back to him and he simply returned the proper DVD.

I've almost done that once, and managed to catch myself right as I was sealing the envelope. I was perfectly sober, however. :(

Easiest way to do is is to use 2 free programs talked about on here that I can't remember right now, of course. Damn. Palimax recommended them.
One is a ripper that rips the raw movie DVD to 9 gigs of files. The other compresses the movie to 4.5 gigs on 1 run while creating an .ISO and burns on the 2nd run. It's really simple. I'll remember them in a bit and post the names of the software. They're great programs.

dvd decrypter and Dvd shrink... but unless he is talking about the Old Version of Narnia he isnt ripping it from a dvd so dvd shrink wont work.

Yeah, DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. Get 'em, love 'em.
I assumed he Narnia is out on DVD now and he was ripping it. Those programs are perfect for that.

No Mirdorr, this is a downloaded version, avi format. About 1.4gb in total.
Will try Aurora today, thanks for the suggestion Moglor.

like I said it worked for my Full metal Alchemist but I am not positive your full movie will fit on one dvd so you might hav eot find a mpg shrinker still.
