While its very fucked up they did this, phone records are who you called/called you, for how long, and when. Not word for word transcripts. Though its also pretty easy for people to listen in on cellular phone conversations given the nature of radio transmission.

Modern wireless calls aren't easy at all to snoop in on, unless you're the carrier.

Maybe the ALCU's ad is misleading. This isn't over phone records, like your phone bill. This is over the substance of your communications.

Thankfully i've had digital phone for years now. have'nt heard if comcast has been a party to this or not.
