Welcome back to my ignore list Qlain. This time permanently.

If this affects my ability to join any AOR raids, I can live with that. /shrug

To the rest of Prism, you guys must have the patience of saints.

Hes permanently banned from AOR, why would they not like you putting him on ignore?

FYI, to Kadath and anyone who may have had somewhat, erm, chaotic dealings with Qlain, it bears well to keep in mind that Qlain is ELEVEN years old IRL :) . He runs a pretty good BoT tower raid for a 5th grader...

In my dealings with him I've found him to be pretty competent, if a bit impulsive, for obvious reasons.

Why did he get banned?AOR seems pretty tolerant of most behavior.

For training an MM raid, which seems to be the topic du jour :) .

Upon rereading my original message it looks like it could be construed as a NAG at Prism as well. I must make it abundandtly clear that is NOT the case. I have the utmost respect for Prism, and its leaders have never been anything but honest and helpful.

Nydia: I concur, it was at a well run BOT tower raid that I discovered and announced that the reason for my confusion during that raid was that I had its leader, Qlain, on ignore. It was embarassing I'm sure to Qlain, and I apologized and was told my apology was accepted. Since then, Qlain has lied to me on at least one occaission and abused my friendly relationship with an Ex guildmate. This will not stand.

Again? He trained one before Christmas that he and I both attended (and received a ban), but thankfully it wasn't a wipe and folks got their flags...

Or is Kadath referring to something else?

Going by the list on the AoR forums, Qlain was perma-banned for training the AoR raid before Christmas.

Kadath is referring to something else....

No worries, Kadath. Qlain is young and can be...trying at times, to say the least. A very bright child, but impulsive and overeager, as children are wont to be. His father is an officer, and has put him on restriction more than once over in game foolishness. Trust that he means well, but if anyone has problems with him simply get ahold of a PRISM officer and we'll put the fear of hell (or grounding) into him. =)

Thormir,
I have a big problem with one of your officers!! Can you ground Korike??

Or at least make him take a bath once in a while! He smells like a used condom! Oh wait nm forgot he was a Pally =P

I am amazed about this post. The kid is 11 years old. All I have to say is think back at how you where at 11 years old.

Of corse, some people act 11 and are 21, 31, and 41 years old.

My 11 year old nephew plays with us at times and he will go afk for 5 minute and never tell us that he is going afk.

I also have a 10 year old nephew that hardly ever reads the screen. Again, he is 10 years old.

Now if he doesn't have any respect for anyone that is a little different story.

Judge as you will, but remember at 11 years old MOST boys are pretty imiture.

Well i pretty much avoid qlain at all costs, he has killed me repeatedly and lead raids where the raid mob isnt and wasnt ever up. But finding out that he is 11 explains alot and ill try not to be so judgemental in the future.

I sorta wish they had a server that had a minimum age requirement. I have zero interest in playing a game with young children. And shame on his parents for letting him play this game unsupervised.

>> His father is an officer, and has put him on restriction more than once over in game foolishness >>

How can you get a whole lot more supervised than that? His father is in his guild. His father is an Officer in his guild. His guild is one of the better guilds on the server so his father pretty much has to know what goes on in this game. He is as supervised as someone can be in game.

If his father chooses to allow 11 year old Qlain to play the game, who are you to judge? As Bill Cosby said "This is not your child!"

I avoid him like the plauge myself ever since the BoT tower raid incident where he looted an orb from Brynjui saying he bought loot rights from the winner when the guy he supposedly bought loot rights from didn't even win. Not to mention since it was no drop it was nbg lotto, and yet the "winner" was allowed to sell loot rights? Was just a total bunch of BS and topping off the fact that the raid was lead by him and took like 5 hours to kill 2 bosses because he tried to over-complicate EVERYTHING, I can only say he deserves what he gets.

ps- Within 1hour and 12min of him leaving (after brynjui) and myself taking over both the earth tower and water tower were dead...so don't think it was the raids fault for consisting of a bunch of tards, because they did just fine once qlain was no longer leading.

Brel,

The BoT tower raid was led by an 11 year old. It shouldn't of went that smoothly because he is 11 years old. I actually compliment him for leading the raid.

The looting of a No Drop Item when it wasn't his to loot, well that is something different.

Kein,

There are plenty of idiots in the game, not just an 11 year old who sometimes is imiture. At least the 11 year old has some type of supervision in his father and then his guild. Do you know how his father or his guild reprimands him when he does 11 year old stupid shit?

If you choose not to group with him, that is your choice, but remember that he is 11 YEARS OLD

One last thing. I don't know Qlain.

EQ is entertainment. Some people forget that. I know that I have from time to time.

Wait, how old is he??!1!

Oh, wait, we all know he's 11. So what? And yes, this one may have a public service note attached to him, but my statement was about 11 year old players in general. You know, not all of them have (THIS PERSON IS 11) after their names.
So yes, I feel that if we have to play with them, and they end up doing these retarded things (which he apparently does anyways according to most here...), we have every right to judge the person who lets them play.

You know, its quite possible this 11 year old kid, that is making poor judgment choices may actually LEARN a little bit about how his actions are selfish from all of this. You grow a lot in maturity at his age, you have to learn that life isnt 100% about yourself. If I was his Dad, I would make him read this thread, and explain to him why everyone that says negetive things, is saying such. Maybe he will get an understanding of just what kind of impact his behaviour has on other real people. Maybe he will learn a little bit about sharing, and helping others before himself..

It can be quite sobering even to an eleven year old to realize the majority of people you come in contact with think your a retard, or selfish ninja looting scum..

Oh shit what am I saying he is 11, he will probably just do it again tomorrow ignore me..

In yet another move to decrease his popularity, The Faust has the following opinion on the matter:

Does the fact that this person is 11 years of age makes his actions in game have less of an effect than a 30 year-old, or a 50 year-old? That he can lead raids at 11 is pretty impressive. If he does well at it, that's doubly impressive. This does not, however, give a right for behavior outside of what is expected from anyone. I watched for a while, and finally couldn't stand seeing, "BUT HE'S JUST 11!!" as a get out of jail free card. (This was perception.) Whoever stated, "Well, he gets grounded for behaving badly in EQ" - you have GOT to be kidding me. I dunno about you, but I sure as fuck ain't here paying $12.00/mo. to babysit someone else's snotgoblin. Him getting grounded does nothing for me if he screws something up for me (which he hasn't, BTW, I don't want to give that impression.)

Reminds me of Happy Gilmore saying to the IRS guy, "You can't take all her stuff! She's...she's too OLLLLLLLLD. Look at her! She's...she's...OLLLLLLLLLLLD!"

I personally think it's cool that an 11 year-old is leading raids and playing EQ, but I think the exact same standards be applied to him that would be applied to other players.

Most of the people posting here are men.. or soon to be men.

Shall we start acting like it and stop beating up on a child?

Enough.. really.. I know enough to avoid him.. but lets give the flaming a rest.

For those of you jerking off over the kid's age, go grow up yourselves.

My 12 year old son plays and I don't hang over his shoulder, but do glance in on him at times. All I ever see and hear from people is how great he is. Polite, thinking of others first and eager to listen and learn. If half the older set that played were even partly as well behaved or had his manners it would surprise me.

Age has nothing to do with it.

Ok, so you have some problems with things Q has done. Yes, he needs to learn from these mistakes, we all make them. But, let's not shuffle peoples actions or abilities into age, sex or race (rl race) categories.

i can't belive someone is proud, that his child is playing EQ . way to take his real life away and start him up on eq.
i will never allow my kid at that age to play eq, after knowing what effect this game has and how addictive it can be .

but then again you are the father .. good luck i hope he wins the Eq award.

The " Mother",

and he doesn't play that much really. He'd rather be off irl with his friends. Adults are the ones that sink too deep into this game and get hooked more then our children.

Ninja looting a ring and another item on a MB raid.. gatted out and left everyone behind in the middle of a raid that was going to kill the Junkbot ( forgot his name.. but the one that gives a key to the factory door).. Ninja looting yet again on a Zek raid ( the one with the bow **forgot his name too** ) ....
FUBAR'ed a Tallon Zek raid.. cursed out and blamed everyone else for all being **retards**...
