I've been googling this without luck, so maybe I'm alone?

I have several custom playlists in iTunes, and the song order is shuffled. Whenever I add new material to my iPod, say a new song, it de-shuffles the playlists. I'm now in the habit of hooking up the iPod, syncing new content, then reshuffling every playlist, and syncing again.

Am I doing something wrong? It seems very odd to me that I can't find anyone else with the same problem on the web.

So...am i the only one with this problem, or am I missing something painfully obvious?

I think that's just the way it works. Shuffle works inside a playlist, not when you create it. I'm no itunes guru but all my custom playlists, even the ones that select random tracks out of a larger set( 2GB of rock at random + last 50 recent adds + 1 album of Frank Sintra), are always ordered until I hit the shuffle button.
