TEHRAN, Iran -- Iran's supreme leader said Wednesday that questioning the results of Iran's June presidential election is a crime, his strongest warning yet to opposition leaders who continue to insist the vote was rigged. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has the final say on all state matters in Iran, did not go so far as to order the arrest of those leaders, as called for by hardliners, but his words signaled the government could take stronger action. "Some people, without logic or reason, called the glorious election a lie," state TV quoted Khamenei. He said questioning the election was "the biggest crime."

Well, this should clarify the results for anyone who might have still been on the fence; the election was a wonderful event with the proper result, and anyone who cannot see this should expect to be educated properly in one of the state's fine education centers, where the skeptic can also take advantage of the rigorous physical education programs to more fully become a stronger member of the Iranian people, assuming survival of the forced hard labor and beatings.

This just cracks me up to no end.......our election was on the up and up, and the right result was obtained, and if you don't believe us we will phuque you up.

So, Iran's screwed up election is bad, but Afghanistan's is fine (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/afghanistan/6488613/Afghanistan-West-hails-Hamid-Karzai-as-legitimate-president.html)? Meh.

The protests that occurred following the theft of the election by Ahmanutjob are not gone completely, but are still taking place mostly at the colleges within the student bodies. And the upcoming anniversary of the storming of the American Embassy and taking of hostages is already being set up as the next opportunity to voice disgust for the sham election. And, the authorities are already threatening severe action if any form of protest occurs.

Personally, I would say it is time to negotiate with the Pakistani government to move our troops to their side of the border and withdraw all aid to the Afghan "leadership", since we see so little impact on the country as a whole from it. Assist the Pakistani military in completing it's push against the insurgents and establish security for their nuclear weapons. And, take the money we would be giving the corrupt Afghan leaders and use it to carpet bomb the mountain caves where we suspect OBL and the rest of the baddies to be operating from; a few days of the old B-52 runs would do wonders to redesign the landscape in those mountainous regions.
