So I am wondering, if its ok by the standards of the middle eastern countries rulers to support and harbor terrorists, could Isreal do teh same thing without those same rulers bitching and moaning.
So Isreals starts kidnapping hamas/Hezbollah leaders, shooting rockets into gaza and lebanon randomly. tragetting civillians with suicide bombs etc. how does the rest of the world react? how do the middle eastern countries react?
Just wondering what others thought of this.

The standard applied to Middle Eastern countries is lower than that applied to Isreal and the United States.
Imagine sending a Boxer into a UFC fighting match, to fight against a Kempo/Judo Master and telling him not to use his feet or his knees.
Thats the situation we face in the Middle East.

(from Akipt quote in the other thread)
The president made the comments after Israel struck Beirut airport and military airbases and blockaded Lebanese ports in reprisals that have killed 55 civilians in Lebanon since Hezbollah guerrillas captured two Israeli soldiers a day earlier.
What do I think about the passivity of the rest of the world regarding the whole thing?
We are just waiting for them to blow each other, good riddance middle east!

Maybe this is the solution to all the problems in the middle east, maybe if they blow each other they won't hate the other so much!!

I think we have a winner. I don't know about you guys but I am sick of the middle fucking east.
My co-worker and I was just discussing how close his 17 year old kid is at the moment to this mess. Hes in Aman(sp?), Jordan at the moment learning Arabic. He was picked from the state department to go with a group of other kids from the US. In fact on his way to Aman his plane actually landed at the same airport thats blown up at the moment.

This is one of the reasons you would not see Israel mimiccing the Muslim countries.....suicide is a mortal sin and apparently the Jews keep faith a little better with the teachings of their religion than their enemies do.
I'm for Isreal winning.... If we can't stand up and do the job then let's let someone who has the balls do it...
Let them do what ever it takes..... If Jack Bauer were a country .... he would be Isreal.

Replace suicide bombs with airstrikes and they already have been, for decades. You periodically read about this in the news as "Israel helicopter missiles today killed Abu Ibn Towelhead and 15 people who happened to be standing near him. Israeli government sources say he was a terrorist."
The rest of the world was a little concerned, but you can't do much of anything in the UN if the US opposes it. The US and Israel have an interesting voting card .. they have often been the only two negative votes on issues that despite what would have been a clear numerical "yes" didn't pass. While Israel may be on relatively high moral ground here, it is by no means a black and white issue.
I don't know about you guys but I am sick of the middle fucking east.
Amen.
