And last month, I sold my horse and borrowed off of Faervas, our guild bank, and a guild shaman and sprung for both Vallon's Quickening and CoD, both of which I was sick of not having... (anyone need a few copies of Insanity? ;) ) so I'm good there.

And Zenrk, don't even get me started :) . If it werent for the fact that Faervas and I bankrupted ourselves ages ago to pay for my KEI scroll, I'd have deleted that thing the day I got Tranquility...

Buzya, I don't know where you get this 'cow tipping' business from. I have lived in Laredo for the last year, but grew up in San Francisco, was educated in Dallas and Atlanta, and have two Masters' degrees... the closest I have ever come to a cow was as a 9 year old, trying to milk one on a tourist farm outside Detroit, and more recently, working with the helminth parasite Taenia saginata, which infects cattle, while working on my first M.S..

I *did* put a smile at the end of it, and I *do* view Buzya as a parasite :) . As I am a parasitologist by training, however, perhaps I don't view this as as much of an insult as others might, however.

However, I did find the snivelling, pathetic 'nooooo' when threatened with the loss of access to his trolling grounds extremely amusing, and just shows how much valid the comparison to a worm (as I study parasitic helminths i.e. worms) was... :)

Buzya, if you want to make a living bottomfeeding off of the server, enjoy - no-one's stopping you. I don't approve of the practice and won't support it (or anyone who practices it by buying from them, for virtual or real currency), but you obviously have enough customers, hosts, whatever, to keep going, so bon appetit!

As far as the 'insecurity' issue goes, my experience in Everquest is not an economic, power, or status driven experience - it's a social one. I don't give a rat's ass what people have or don't have, as it's the person behind the player that matters to me. If I don't ever scrape up the platinum though my own efforts to fill out my spell book, or don't get them on turnins, it's no skin off my nose. If I don't ever make it into Eternal Wrath (clue #1, I've never apped a guild :) ), it's not going to crush my little world. I also have a very full and busy life outside of EQ and don't rely on the game to fill all my psychosocial (or material, as in your case) needs for me. I, personally, find it pathetic that someone would attempt to make a living buying and selling virtual property in a game that they don't even play, that isn't even theirs or the sellers (it's Sony's) for real money, but if it floats your boat, who am I to say what is a wasted life?

Have a nice life, and to summarize:

1) I don't have anything personally against Buzya, or intestinal parasites, which have proved both an interesting subject of study and provided me with a half decent living.

2) I don't, however, care to support parasites, of either variety.

RIAA will tell you well, and maybe it's a cheap parallel, but there is a difference between selling the only char you had, and making a living of trading them (which you never played with).

Well I'm pretty much out of video games, I even got an Xbox which I don't have time to play. I'm focusing mainly on school and actually studying pretty hard now. I kinda had a kick in the ass recently to get my stuff together so I can hopefully graduate in a couple of years. As far as EverQuest, you'll see me on AIM under Bubus' account in channel OMG once in a while. And yeah the girl situation is sorta working itself out heh, needless to say I don't have as much time to sit around and do nothing as much as I'd like to.

So long as Buyza doesn't actually promote his selling via links of things for RL cash, I have no problem with him. Jackass or not, he's not nearly as disruptive as other people have been in the past.
