Interesting. I had known they were talking about a WoW movie but not an EQ movie. I'll watch it :D

I think Tom Hanks is too old now to play a living-in-Mom's-basement-24/7-EQplayer.

Maybe Christian Slater.

On the other hand, Scarlet Johannsen would make an acceptable Firiona Vie.

The plot won't have fucking anything to do with anything that ever happened in the games. It'll just be some generic save the world from an evil wizard dude, probably MAYONG played by Jeremy Irons. Insert random teen hero to represent us as the "player", whose love interest will be Firiona Vie played by some ditzy blonde.

I also expect to see a gnome or dwarf used poorly for comic relief.

That's about it.

This.

Gary Coleman would play the role of a Dwarft rogue

Emmanuel Lewis would play the role of a gnome mage

The Govenator would play the role of a Barb warrior

I can see Keffer Suthernland as an older ranger......

This is also tailor made for a Danny Devito as a crazy bad guy.

If they can put Screach from Saved by the bell in it and cast lots of DOTS on him I would like that very much too.

so when they transition from scene to scene, will they flash "LOADING, PLEASE WAIT" across the screen?

gaediianiel

oh! and when they kill the main mob, will he drop something nobody can use? :p

Probably have a crew of B actors rush by them on the way to Tormax....

"Dammit, Vanillia Ice just leapfrogged us!" says Keffer.

I hope they use the word "Pwned" in the movie, somewhere....

I heard there are several intermissions while Keffer shouts "LFG" over and over.

I pray they have to find SoW and KEI and maybe a port to someplacebecause they are bound near an epic rare spawn

Also if a caster rests will they block the camera with a book

or everytime they try to leave the city for the first time they die or run back to the city guards.

will they zerg? and will someone call haxx? who would you petition to? would a gm come down from cs and tell them they can't reset and they lost everything and will have to restart the quest?

I'm not sure anyone besides us players would understand most of that.
Or it may get the Avant-Garde award at the Sundance Film Festival....

A few years past its peak? Heh ... this'll not even hit theaters for probably 4-5 years. First we've got the huge strike coming up that'll push everything back at least a year, and then they have to go into production.

I have to wonder if this will coincide with an Everquest 3 release given its timeliness.

The thawing in relations between Peter Jackson and New Line Cinema has me even more intrigued as to whether there will be a version of "The Hobbit" on our screens within the next few years.

Apparently Ian McKellan has been pushing for a breakthrough in negotiations, wanting to portray Gandalf one more time.

New Line also will be losing the rights to "The Hobbit" before long, 2010 being the guess of insiders, according to Entertainment Weekly magazine.

I would be much more excited to see what Jackson and Fran Walsh can come up with for "The Hobbit" than I am about an EQ movie, having seen what Final Fantasy turned out to be.

But, I would still go to see the EQ movie, heh.
