This really fucking sucks.. pallys with FD, nerf regular fd, min ldon groups with 5.. =(

Im really pissed of now!

I will post what it says here. The worst part is at the end.

**Clarification of Character Transfers with Items Policy**

- We are now permitting character moves while you are still in the free 30 day trial period.

-No refunds will be permitted once your request is approved and processed. If you change your mind about moving your characters after they have already been moved, you will need to fill out an additional Request Form to move the characters back to the original server or account and you will again be charged the applicable transfer fees.

-A character can now be transferred one time every two months, as opposed to the previous once every six months.

-Character transfers with items are now permitted to and from the following servers from any server: Venril Sathir, Kael Drakkal, Sebilis, Sullon Zek and Stromm. Character transfers with items are now permitted to and from the Firiona Vie server from the Stormhammer server only.

Upcomming January 9, 2004 Update

The past year has seen significant changes in the way Everquest is played and experienced by our subscribers. Our very successful expansions Planes of Power, Legacy of Ykesha, and most recently the Lost Dungeons of Norrath have changed the very fabric of the game, often in ways our developers did not expect. After much debate and a great deal of input by our user base, we have committed to addressing some of the issues brought forward to us by our subscribers. The primary concern that our users have repeatedly stated is that due to the great increases in power brought by our very successful expansions, Everquest is simply not as challenging as it should be. Accordingly, this upcoming update has been designed to once again challenge our players and put the fun back in the game.
** Classes, Skills and Alternate Advancement **

- Feign Death: as previously stated, game mechanics and features often have a far different impact upon the game than anticipated by the developers. There is no greater instance of this than with the feign death ability. Feign death was originally intended to provide a character with a possible means of evading death. As many know, feign death is now primarily used to trivialize encounters by separating groups of monsters so that they can be dealt with individually, rather than as a group. The result of this ongoing issue is that encounters present far less of a challenge to groups and raids. Accordingly, a number of minor adjustments to the feign death ability will be made to encourage more teamwork in dealing with groups of monsters and to make the encounters more enjoyable.

- Monks: the reuse timer on the feign death ability will be increased by a factor of eight. The Rapid Feign alternate advance ability will be adjusted such that the first skill level in this ability reduces the reuse timer by 5%, the second raises the reduction to 10% and the third makes the reduction 20%. Monsters subjected to the feign death ability will be much less likely to forget the monk character. Finally, monsters that have been sufficiently damaged will be much more likely to summon a monk that has used feign death than other characters nearby.

- Shadowknights: the cost of the Feign Death, Fake Death and Death Peace spells will be increased by a factor of ten. Monsters subjected to the feign death spells will be much less likely to forget the shadowknight character.

- Necromancers: the cost of the Feign Death, Fake Death and Death Peace spells will be increased by a factor of ten. Monsters subjected to the feign death ability will be much less likely to forget the necromancer character. Offensive spells with a duration will immediately end after a necromancer has successfully cast feign death. The necromancer character will begin to lose mana at a moderate rate after feign death has been successfully cast..

- Paladins: with the increased challenge in dealing with groups of monsters, paladins will be given a new group of spells similar to the feign death line of spells. Arise Anew will become available at level 30, with improved versions of this spell (Renewed Arising and Reborn Again) becoming available at levels 50 and 60 respectively. We encourage shadowknights and paladins to work together when dealing with groups of monsters.

- Bards: all songs will have their durations decreased by 3 to 12 seconds depending on the song. All songs will have their casting time increased by 1 to 6 seconds. The goal of these adjustments is to decrease the number of songs that can be "twisted" simultaneously as such activity is beyond the scope of what was intended and has resulted in some very unbalancing song combinations.

** Spells and Pets**

- The Lure line of wizard spells will have their resistibility dramatically increased to preserve game balance.

- The Draught line of wizard spells will have their casting time increased by 2 to 4 seconds depending upon the particular spell.

- Mage pets of all levels will have their hit points and melee damage output increased.

- Cataclysm of Ro has had its movement rate bonus changed to a penalty to correct an erroneous stacking issue with the Selo's line of movement rate songs.

- Cassindra's Chant of Clarity and Cassindra's Chorus of Clarity are now instant rather than lasting 3 seconds.

- There are still some issues with Frostreaver's blessing being overwritten by some spells. We are aware of the issue but we don't expect the issue to be resolved soon.

- Protection of the Glades and Protection of the Nine will block and overwrite Temperance. Temperance will block and overwrite Aegolism. Aegolism will block and overwrite Protection of the Glades, Protection of the Nine and Temperance.

- When the character changes size (through illusion), other players will no longer see the player mounting their horse from the rear.

** Quests, Adventures and Encounters **

- The /guildwar command will be fully operational. In order to make /guildwar work properly, those guilds wishing to enable this function must have their guild disbanded and then reassigned by a GM. Minimum guild size must be at least 54 members and we cannot guarantee that a previously held guild name can be reissued.

- Two Bastion of Thunder keys and one key in the Plane of Air that were supposed to open up a location for just the key holder were in fact opening up the location for the entire group. We have fixed that problem and all group members now need the prerequisite parts of the key. We have made this adjustment to a number of other locations as well.

- We have corrected a serious pathing issue relating to a guard in West Karana. The guard will now walk clockwise around the guard tower rather than counter-clockwise.

- Cloth caps will no longer drop off NPCs in Siren's Grotto.

- We have increased the number of characters required for LDoN raids from 3 to a minimum of 5 group members.

-- Verrell Cogswallow is looking for the something you might have!

- We have made some improvements to ring events in Inner Acrylia. We have increased the spawn counts and decreased the spawn timers to make the event more challenging and in-line with the rewards.

- Event timers on various LDoN raids have been decreased to make them more challenging.

- Increased the number of items found at the end of a successful LDoN raid, provided that the raid is completed in less than half of the required time or with less than 5 group members..

** Interface **

- We have removed the ability to apply percentage measurement to anything in the user interface as such measurements reduce the inherent challenge in encounters.

- We have removed the ability to turn off the 3D target indicator. The ring colors of the 3D target indicator have been changed as follows: green has been changed to dark grey, blue has been changed to light grey and red has been changed to green.

- Added /fartface command (usage /fartface <fartname>, e.g. /fartface Squooshy). This will change, on the fly, the farts used by the interface (and over character's asses). Farts can also be selected in the General Options page.

- The Dump button in raid window now creates the proper looking pile of fecal matter.

- Remember to never trust anything you read posted by a halfling whose name starts with K.

good lord, good thing thats fake. I was gettin ready to toss my computer out the window even if I didnt play any of the classes that would be getting smacked around with the nerf bat.

The target indicator was the first thing that tipped me off since its sheer malice to do that :p

Grrr, I want to edit my last post, but can't seam to find the button. Oh well. I also just wanted to add that I should have realized that this was in the NAG section, which should have been a dead give away to me that this was fake, lol!

lmao i read the eq messages yesturday and no jan 6 patch was there i started reading that and i thought boy they realy would want people to quit eq lol till the end nice job btw halflings are the suck
