Are we now locking threads because people don't want their dirty laundry aired?

That bard in the thread, Q something... There is a post made about him on a public forum, people read it and respond, and now it's locked so he cannot even defend himself? Next time I make a NAG thread and want to retract it, please lock mine as well.

Lame.

Was locked due to requst from GL of DoM. Q is more than welcome to come and start it back up to defend himself though.

I asked for both's sake, Querrendo and my guilds. I have told him if he wants to make attacks, to make them against me but to leave the 95% innocent out of it.

I'm not so sure this is a precedent you want to set, but you're the mod.

Is there a certain list of criterion one has to meet to have a thread locked?

I'm sure everyone has made posts that they wanted to dissapear. I know that a certain mod had her status removed because she deleted a post that involved her.

It might be the kind thing to do, but like I said, it will set a precedent. If you refuse to lock someone else's thread it's going to cause a headache for you and everyone else involved.

It doesn't involve Baltyn. It involves me or my guild. This person is making attacks upon my guild and they are defending themselves.

I would much rather the person attack me and my leadership abilities than to drag my guild through it.

Bud, I understand why he did it, I even agree with it.

I'm simply saying that in the past, requesting thread locks in NAG always results in "No". It's too much of a hassle to deal with them on a case by case basis, so it's always "No". If I make a post flaming someone, and then decide that it's not in the best interest of me and my friends, can I have it locked too?

Exactly, this is the NAG thread where you are free to air the dirty laundry.

When other guilds dirty laundry is aired, it turns into a 100 page rant (Anyone remember "this one's for LS?")

What is this forum for now if you can't vent what's on your chest without having it locked?

I honestly try not to read other guilds dirty laundry.

I do happen to love it when Crist0 gets into a "discussion"

Problem being is some guilds cant take a little criticism....and I'm not talking about LS.
