That is funny...lol
But you know..it would be sad if they do not allow /anon posting.
Next thing they would want is your picture next to your full name too.

Of course, they could never do that or enforce it. It's just another example of how out of touch some of the people making our laws are.

Represntative Couch says enforcing this bill if it became law would be a challenge.
How about impossible?

I think this day and age...we have better things to spend our money on than enforcing this law.

Don't worry. That'll never become law.
It's most likely even unconstitutional.
I just thought it was funny.

Another link on that page that is just as moronic...
Teenager killed while riding in shopping cart (http://www2.tbo.com/content/2008/mar/10/teen-dies-riding-shopping-cart-pulled-suv/?news-breaking&imw=Y)

Well, obviously, SUV manufacturers are to blame for not putting giant warning signs on thier products that say : WARNING! Do NOT attempt to sit in a shopping cart that is being towed by this vehicle. Failure to follow these instructions COULD result in PERMENANT INJURY and/or DEATH!
I'm sure someone plans on suing for $10,000,000.....

There are definately problems with anonymity and the internet, like those "I was paid to kill you but if you pay me more I'll leave you alone" scams that have taken people for a few million dollars this year alone. But most of those originate outside of this country anyway. Or in regards to pedophiles or child pornography and stuff, it'd be useful to track things down - only if the whole world gets involved is it possible though. A law like this doesn't accomplish anything.

Tracking people down has never been that much of a problem. If you posted something illegal here, the authorities would take your IP and time of post to Cox and know everything about you very quickly.

"It's most likely even unconstitutional."
I don't agree with the law, but I would appreciate if you could expound a bit on that statement with some case references if you have them. I've never researched the issue of anonymity and abridging the freedom of speech.
