First Conan O'Brien gets a sweet offer to move to ABC. His contract is up and today Jimmy Fallon was announced to be his successor.

Conan didn't take the job, however, since NBC decided to cut Jay Leno and give Conan his show.

Leno might be jobless, or maybe ABC will pick him up.
Expect all these changes sometime in 2009.

I thought Leno announced a few years ago this was his last year so I doubt he's jobless, he's retired.

As Fil mentioned, there was a contractual decision several years back regarding the Leno/Conan matter. I think what might have Leno a bit put off is the way the network has been treating him as he nears the end of his tenure with the show. There have been several stories of his being disrespected by network folks, like walking people through while he is meeting with people and not acknowledging him or the interruption at all, and he has made some comments during his monologue's that have been somewhat anti-NBC.

Sucks for NBC, I like Leno. Don't really stay up and watch the show but he is one of my favorite when I do.
