Bonzai Plant or Bonsai Tree?

My Father's hobbie includes trimming, repotting, and selling Bonsai trees. Pretty neat little hobby actually, it definately takes patience to grow a miniature tree.

You can find books at amazon.com on growing them, or trimmming branches off of trees, and making them grow roots so you can mold them with wire to acheive the look.

He is currently working on a fruit bearing apple tree, it is nearly 2 years old and is only 10 inches high.
