EDIT: Change of plans from lvl 69-70 only to people who are lvl 66 and higher.
Here it goes. Don't knock it until you try it. Might be perfect for some people and those are the ones I'm looking for.
I'm looking to form a lvl 66-70 guild. It will be a casual guild, not a hardcore raiding guild. There are only a few hardcore raiding guilds left and high playtime and high level gear is usually required. Lately, server population looks to be decreasing and requirements are not as strict to join these guilds. Progression is a main goal of these guilds and that is great, but takes a lot of hardwork and dedication. You shouldn't even be apping to these guilds if you are second guessing yourself, so you just end up quitting a couple months later because you were trying to give too much.
Anyways, what I am looking for is a small guild of those people who have been in these hardcore raiding guilds before, but either do not have the time anymore or else it is just not worth it to put forth the playtime or feel required to do that. I am also looking for the people who would like to do all that stuff and don't want to join the other raiding guilds that is doing the stuff that you did way too many times and there's no way you can stand doing that stuff anymore. I'm not looking for people who don't know how to play or are "loud/confrontational". I do not want members who need flags and keys to expect others to do everything for them, but can make friends with others who would like to do those things for them instead. Looking for good people, that would like to be a part of something different but worth being a part of.
The main purpose and reason for even going thru with this is for people to to be able to join this guild and still do whatever they normally do (2-boxing, grouping with the same group of friends, soloing, or whatever you do) while being able to use guild tribute skills. There are so many No Drop OoW items that rot and can be used for guild tribute to power a guild 24/7 with all members burning it up. That's the driving force behind this, but at the same time, I would hope for a guild that is worth being a part of.
To do this, I would be looking for lvl 66-70s only (alts who are lvl 65ish will be guilded too), so that the members are working on AAs, and not levels. Don't want to invite a lvl 65, and have them only lvl 67 6 months later. Why? I would like a guild of about 50 people so that we can have one about 25 at any given time (hopefully with players that were part of hardcore raiding guilds for most of their lives, but all are welcome who are interested) that is capable of doing things like 2-3 group GoD/OoW nameds, epics/quests for members if need be, Riftseeker's, and old raid content that is doable by 1-2 groups like Seru, AoW, etc. Perhaps also things like Veeshan's Peak, Sleeper's Tomb, Vex Thal, Ikkinz raid named farming for those that have keys/flags and never get to use them anymore. I am looking for players like myself, but do not want to dedicate all of my time trying to help lead an entire guild. Being able to group without being LFG for hours and simple stuff like that would be what I would be aiming for for the members.
Raiding isn't the goal of the guild, but taking advantage of being able to do things with 12-18 people that lower level guilds do with 30-40 would be taken advantage of. It would also help gear up members who need it. The more flags and keys members would have the better. I think I have summed up the basic goals and ideas of the guild. 2-3 boxing would be encouraged if that's what you normally do. I wouldn't care if it was only 3 people playing 3 characters each, but being able to take out old raid mobs that used to take 72 people (e.g., King Tormax/Shei Vinitras).
EDIT - (added paragraph): I do plan on raiding 2-3 times a week, but not 4 hour long raids like hardcore guilds. I have a plan already in order of starting out with things like Plane of Fear killing Cazic-Thule, then moving thru Kunark (not much there), then thru Velious and Luclin is where things will get interesting. This is for people who have never really had a chance to see these fights before so that even casual players can have the fun of killing some of the coolest things the game has had to offer. Eventually I plan on doing things for the higher geared members so that they have incentives to stick with it (e.g. Ikkinz raids, Riftseeker's, KT/Yxtta).
I hope that the ones I'm looking for read this, but I usually don't read these boards and would expect that a lot of others don't either. Pass on the message to any friends who might be interested. I don't plan on having a guild board anytime soon, but do plan on communicating with members and making plans clear. This would be a casual guild, but not casual to the point that it is boring because it never kills anything. Thanks and good luck.
EDIT: I am also looking for guilds to do joint raids with so there is no burn out from doing PoP flagging. Would be your raid, but would have help making sure you win by inviting along those I can send to help you.
