Recently ****** offered $20 for each article he received with some kind of trick or guide or walkthrough. This is what he was paying for.

So the post was edited because it had a link to a website of Everquest related articles that then had a link to a website you didn't aprove of? Isn't this a little too much censorship? As I haven't had the chance to actually see the site my opinion is rather skewed and limited. However, I got the impression that the link was dominated simply by Everquest related material and information.

It doesnt matter that the link was containing shit that was helpful or not.. the same helpful stuff can be found on the safehouse, allakhazam and the various class sites.. however, the fact that he spammed it across all the EQ boards he could find with a troll account leads to me punishing him, by taking away his advertisment with which he tried to spread his stuff with.

The site is owned by ****** (can check with whois, the domain name is registered to him) and exists specifically to drive traffic to his main site. The information on the site was just an excuse for links to it not to be automatically removed, and so that the site could spread by word of mouth before people realized it was simply advertising.

because its my job.. I do really view this as a job.. If I sometimes have to explain my decisions to build on my position as an admin thats (at least partially) respected, then I do so.

there is a fine line between moderating and controlling.
