Why is it everytime I go to the magelo homepage I get the message that the server is still down and "he hopes to have it up within 24 hours" ? That message has been there for weeks now and I know other people are having no problems updating thier magelo accounts at all, so my question is, how do I fix it on my end? (since I assume thats where the problem is).

Ah re-read your message and you reconginzed it as your problem. Not sure what to tell ya at this time.

Your DNS server is behind, probably. If you're using a local one, make it flush its cache on that record. If you're using your ISP's, your ISP sucks.

It's your temporary internet files. More specifically its a bug in Internet Explorer.

Just go to tools -> Internet Options and then Delete Cookies and Delete Files.

Shut down IE and reload magelo. You will see the page.

Magelo crashes when a warrior hits FT10.
