I remember when they released him and all the media attention to this a while back. Remember thinking to myself how pissed off I would be getting locked up in jail for 18 years for a crime I didn't comit..

Now he goes and brutal kills a young woman. This story is just freaking me out. First person to be freed on DNA and then kill only to be put back in jail..pretty much a first.

It's pretty difficult to imagine what happens to a brain after the hardship of 18 years in prison. Of course there will be people that will say "oh see, he really was a bad person that deserved to be in prison." But what came first the chicken or the egg?

I think Red had it right in Shawshank.

More than likely the opposing legal teams will be fighting ovet just this issue. Is this a case of the state turning him into this brutal killer? Or, was he always bad and just caught a lousy break on the other arrest/incarceration?
It sounds like the conviction is a done deal, evidence-wise, and so the arguments will most likely be to minimize his accountability based on the egg/chicken debate.

Of course, this could be a frame-up to keep his multi-million dollar law suit against the state for false imprisonment from being heard.........
