What exactly is it that these execs do to earn the pay packages they get?

My thought is very simple. The maximum monthly compensation, including stock options, should be no more than 600 times the lowest full time monthly pay in the corporation.

Think you are worth 600 million dollars? pay your factory workers a mill each then.

Any more than that is just a recipe for revolution.

Because shareholders let them get away with it, as their theoretical representaties on a company's board are more than likely on multiple boards and quite familiar with the executives in question, sometimes effectively signing each other's paychecks later on down the line. How this isn't a conflict of interest escapes me.
