Found this today, pretty interesting trip with Matt Lauer into Iran. Learned some things I didn't even know!

Guy in the 4th video is 100% paid by the government... Found it hilarious how obvious it was!

I'll check out the videos later when I have some time; but, seriously, does anyone consider Matt Lauer a credible journalist, or even a half-ass decent interviewer? The best thing NBC could do would be to toss him and Meredith and put Ann and Lester in those seats.

I work with a persian man. He is in his 60's, he is Baha'i and he was in Iran till the mid 80's. He is very critical of the Shah, but he also speaks alot about Iran in a positive tone. The Iran before Islam was in control. The population of non Islamists in Iran is shrinking rapidly, unfortunately, but there is a lighter side to the country.

I went to Uni with a few guys from Tehran, one of whose family was exiled along with the Shah as his uncle and father were both general's in the army.
He used to speak nostalgically for the Shah, indeed he had a few albums with his family standing alongside him. It all looked gravy and great, etc.
But everyone forgets how useless and flaccid the Shah ever was. Yes the revolution may have been, to some extent, elitist, but it happened for a reason. People often wear blinkers as to what came before, when what followed it is something dissapointing or nasty.

That can't be right. I thought you knew everything about Iran?
