I can't stand it anymore. Mc Nabb is hurting the eagles and I cant understand why the coach keeps starting him. He had a serious injury. If they would have gotten him immediate attention and went with the backup qb he would be healed by now and the back up probably would have gotten the team to the same record by this time. Now the eagles have a marginal record and Mc Nabb is still hurt and not gaining any ground on his injury. He cant even throw the ball straight on a 10 yard slant. WTF is the coach thinking. I am so fed up cause the eagles are doomed if Mc Nabb stays in with his hernia.

Was listening to Aikman describe the risk inherent in operating on McNabb's injury. Apparently there's no guarentee he'll ever play again if he goes under the knife.
But I agree, McNabb looked awful for most of today's game.

I agree they should of been resting him, From what I've read its pretty painful injury and allowing to heal properly would of been in there best interest. Philly is sad to watch this year. :(

Best case would be he would be out 6 weeks after the procedure. That's BEST case. It could be the season. I think their view was if he went for surgery, it was like throwing in the towel for the season.
IMO they should have sent him to surgery. They aren't going to see the superbowl with him playing the way he is, so why bother?

Am I the only person that thinks McNabb isn't to blame here? I am willing to bet he isn't the one calling 50 pass plays a game. With a running back like Westbrook they, they shouldn't be passing the ball so often. Yes McNabb is hurt, but telling him to pass 50 times a game is more the coach's fault than Donovan's. Any QB that is asked to throw the ball 50 times a game, several games in a row is going to make mistakes. Donovan didn't give up 42 points yesterday, his defense did. One possession for the Eagles only lasted 12 seconds, 3 and out with 3 pass plays, shouldn't the offensive coordinator be somewhat to blame here? How about Andy Reid?
It's not like these coaches don't know he is hurt pretty seriously. They continue to call all these pass plays, which is the worst thing they can do with a hurt QB. Would you rather a hurt McNabb throw it 50 times a game or a backup with marginal experience? I would be willing to bet any backup in the league would do worse than McNabb throwing 50 times a game. 90% of the QB's in the league, while healthy would have done worse than McNabb thusfar throwing 50+ passes a game with only one real NFL starter at receiver.
Your QB is hurt, run the ball more with Westbrook, it's as simple as that. Should McNabb have sat out for the surgery? If they KNEW he'd back after 6 weeks, I say yes. Look at Matt Burk for the Vikings though, he's had 3 sports hernia related surgeries in the past year. He's sitting out this whole season after missing much of last season because of basically the same problem as McNabb. You gotta give McNabb some credit for his courage, and you can't blame all the Eagles problems on him. Many teams that make the Super Bowl and lose(or even win in some cases) aren't a shell of the same team the next year. Look at the Raiders from a couple years ago, the Carolina Panthers, even the Buccaneers after winning a couple years ago. The only team in recent memory to have any consistency after making the Super Bowl recently is obvously the Patriots, and other than the high of Tedy Bruschi coming back this week, they don't look like the same team of the last few years either. It's hard to maintain competitive edge in the NFL anymore.

Doesn't seem like a good year for QBs. Culpepper is out, McNabb is hurt, and Manning sucks ass.

Manning is leading his team quite well tho. Perhaps he's not having huge numbers, but he's running his offense and not making mistakes. That in itself is a great QB. Giving up his own personal numbers to assure the win.
Colts are in it to win it this year....dammit....

Oh I don't doubt he's leading his team well but his fantasy numbers are shit this year :(

I guarantee that Peyton would give up every touchdown pass from a year ago to win a Super Bowl. We'll see how ready he is next week, and see if he can get rid of his normal happy feet when he plays against the Patriots.

Talk about QB's...Brett Favre owns it all 5 interceptions thrown in one game. He was actually compaired to /gasp Don Magic Man Majkowski. Only one in Packer history to throw 5 Interceptions in 1 game!
Still like watching him play though.

As tough as the Colts D is and how adroitly Peyton is reading defenses this year I think the Pats will find another L in their book after this week.

Favre has thrown 5 interceptions before in a game, in the playoffs. There has been one other Packer that has done it in a regular season game, but Favre has done it twice now. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Favre is a huge risk taker and doesn't have the players around him to afford himself that luxury anymore. I love Favre, but I hate to say it, if they are gonna rebuild, they should start playing Aaron Rodgers.

Could be, but Mr P will be riding my pine this week. I actually picked up his brother a couple weeks back who is doing much better than him. I no doubt will start the young stud again this week.

I think he is pushing it even more to try and make plays since the talent isn't around him. Kinda like trying to do it all himself. When you try that, you either win big on some great plays or throw 5 picks like he did last week.

Anyone think Indy can go undefeated after that last game?

Remaining Games:
Houston
@Cincinnati
Pittsburgh
Tennessee
@Jacksonville
San Diego
@Seattle
Arizona
Definitely possible, not probable though. Other than perhaps Pittsburgh I don't see anything scary on that list.

Biggest threat outside of Pitt is the last game Vs AZ.
They'll have nothing to play their big guns for. Couple that with the current ideology of "sacrifice all personal gains to win the SuperBowl" and I think you have them at their lowest effort.
OoOo and McNabb may just be out for the season after the drubbing they're going to take this next Monday night...

They'll be fired up for their home game against Pittsburgh after losing at Cincy and by the time they play Jacksonville it may be the game that clinches the division title so no letdown there. At Seattle may be tough if they have nothing left to play for.
