Now i dont write this for any other reason than to warn ppl about these scammers. Funny thing is, once i annoounces in bazaar channel i as scammed, one more ppl sent me tell saying how they were scammed out of money by them.

I also know it is my own fault but ppl need to at least know that these guys are out there doing this and at least have the awarness.

So here is the scam...Meadle..selling fungi..pst...

After like 5min of saying in bazaar about getting ripped..i get a tell from Taupau who says he was ripped too, now what is suspicious...is...i send tell to Fondew and i actually get him now ...

I say suspicous because ...it is common for ppl like this to respond in thier other account, the one the money is being transferred to...to throw the person off, as i was trying to talk to Fondew again...then go to /not online in middle of conversation ...so i believe there is cause for suspicion but i could be wrong and if i am....my apologies...none of the threee came back again while i was for 1.5 hours later.../shrug

Now i know the bashings will begin but i post this ..and my ignorance...for all to take note in some of the tell tale signs so your aware of what to look for and you don't ignore them and save yourself some frustration and gettting ripped off.

He got tricked into buying something he would not have bought was it not if it would make it possible for him to get what he actually wanted the Fungi.

He got scammed, he knows it, he's not crying about it either he's just giving others a heads up.

So thanks for the heads up and don't mind the dumbfucks who enjoy laughing at those who get tricked.

another scam people might not be aware of...

trader in bazaar is afk and selling an item for 10 or 15% more than it's normal price

a 2nd person in the /bazaar channel says they are buying the same item for 10 or 15% more than what the trader is selling it for, and states they don't have luclin so they can't come to the bazaar

an enterprising person see's a way to make a quick buck and buys the item at it's inflated price from the trader. Soon as he does the buyer camps and they've forced the sell of an item at an abnormally high price, with the sap stuck with reselling the item for a loss.

For an update, since the initial item involed, never came to fruition, it shows a total intent to defraud and the gm's are not investigating...also, since the other person said same person scammed him...it shows habituality...so go get 'em GM's !! I will update as the updates come in... /wave

Also, thx for the other scam update, if we keep informing one another, maybe we keep the number of ppl getting ripped..to a limited number!!

Gonna have to check that out for people trying to make profit in bazaar. Not everyone knows tradeskills, and people can put pretty much the price they want on em, if they got another comp/friends to answer some PC's on it.

That makes not a bit of fuckin sense.

What I don't understand is why didn't reyes do /bazaar, and see if he could get the item cheaper...

There are a lot of people that 2 box and work an items price up all the time. I know many people that do it.

The bottom line on buying armor, weapons, spells, or tradeskill items, is knowing what you are buying and what the going prices have been.

As the game goes on, prices always drop on almost every item.

After being on for 19 straight hours gm told me that they did track the two as canceled name changes off of three different accounts in one week...so they are investigate the three accounts...if they are found to be scammers, they are all three gone..hopefully next update will be they are booted.

Now to those in bash mode, what your missing is that i am not bitching about what happened...i am merely warning others of the ppl involved the scam and using myself as example of what NOT to do. Did i make bad decision. But i accept that, just trying to get the word out on these ppl so we limit the damage to all persons that arent aware or fall for it.

I did pc the item, some type of scale for smithing, with smith friend who got the name mistaken with another similar item..so i thought i did cover the bases with that ../shrug..i got taken, it happens..plz learn from this..and hopefully they get busted...but we at least have 3 accts to look into and maybe get the server one more scammer less.

Ok then how about this senerio,Scammer says"Hey soandso has me on ignore and i want an item he has,if you go buy it for me i'll trade you Fungi for it.

Guy being scammed says"Hey,i shoot him a tell on your behalf,and tell him to come over and sell you the piece after we make the deal.

No way out of that situation.

OR the scammer could have logged in an alt(we get 8 for god sakes,he cant have em all on ignore) and tell the seller of the piece to take scammer off ignore so he could converse and buy the piece.

There is no way to "scam" anyone in this game except to take advantage of their kindness.So next time you're in trader mode,be the biggest prick in the entire world.When you're done trading items,go back to being same ol nice person.Thats how i handle it. :)

Friend, if i trained you, as could have happened as i am a Veksaraholic, i am certain i called a train. If i did not have time to call a train, i would have come back to the zone to help with rezzes, summons, etc, or had been a victim of the same train. Had you /tell Reyes about the train I know i would have responded or helped, it really isnt my style to just hose ppl over.

As a matter of fact i am one of the ppl that have /feedback about how i think that zone, which i love, has a death cyclye problem. In one group about a week ago, we had almost 5 corpses each as ppl trained us on our original corpse run from sewer deaths and as we ran out, naked the ent mobs to the zone got on us..so we'd zone back in as we had no eb also and other ppl were coming out with the train, /repeat. I even had a gm in the zone observing how it can get.

Additionally, I think many ppl, especially those that know me from frequenting Veksar can attest that i do take responsibility for my actions or that of my group. I also pay out of my stash, for the rezzes, summons, etc. So, if you do have some problem with me. /tell i'm sure we can work it out. I am surely not in the habit of running trains on ppl and IF it were the case, i'd have stepped in and accepted my responsibility for it. /wave hope to hear from you in the game.

It was a pain in the ass tho, trying to get back to the church without any help and to discover, once we got there, that someone else had moved in to where we were.

Tapau is not part of that scam. Guaranteed. It is a mule toon of a regularly played character, and normally, she only logs on that toon to switch items around or drop off items to other players in the guild.
