pfft that site sucks

The site is "Meh!" but that is the transformers that are in the movie.

At first I reacted like most G1 fans did "OMG! You can't FUCK with Prime!!!"

But then I thought about it. Imagine trying to take your favorite TV Cartoon and/or Toy and bring it over to a real life movie.

If the transformations mimiced the cartoon from 25 years ago, I'd think it would be kind of campy (took me weeks to admit this btw). So, they had to be able to bring these fantastical characters to the big screen, and because it's based around real people and not cartoon's, you can't suspend peoples disbelief TOO much.

The thought of transforming cars is cool, but it has to look like it's possible and that's what these guys look like imho. If you look at Incinerator (the helicopter), you can see where each and every piece from the chopper fits on his body. The same goes for Optimus. Sure I'm not a fan of the flames or the fact that they went with a long nose truck, but in robot mode, that is without a doubt, Optimus Prime. Keep in mind too, over the last 25 years, Optimus himself has gone through over 25+ different incarnations, so to try and say you're messing with a standard, I'd have to ask which one.

All in all, I'm looking forward to seeing it. I'm hoping and praying that I'll go in to watch it the same way I did with Batman Returns. I went in expecting typical Hollywood fare and came out blown away and wanting to go back a second and even third time.
