Cadillac Lan Party


Hey all,

A few friends and I are having a pretty big LAN in Cadillac, MI. Hopefully, this will become an annual event. I'm inviting anyone that would like to come. The entrance fee will be $20, and the date is set to December 27th, 2004. (yah right after christmas :( )

Most of the games that will be played are 1st person shooters. However you are not required to play any specfic game, its just to have fun. There will be a few tournaments held for various different games, and the entrance fee covers your way in for the tournament. Some of the prizes may include cash or various computer accessories. There also may be a raffle for a brand new computer from one of our sponsors. These LAN's usually last three days, as will this one, however you can leave whenever it suits you.

The purpose of CLP (Cadillac Lan Party) is to have fun, (by staying up 3 nights playing computer games :D ). There will be many oppurtunity's to win prizes as well as try some new competitive games. I hope that many of you will consider joining us on the 27th.

- 5Mbit download and 1Mbit upload internet. (online games, browsing , etc.)

note: These are games WE will be hosting servers for during the LAN, you do not have to play on these servers nor these games. Feel free to host your own servers for other games, or even play online.

If the purpose of this event is for profit or if it is a commercial solicitation, then yes, it is in violation of the Acceptable Use Policy. Ultimately, the administration will determine what is permissible on the boards.

Doesn't seem like a commercial thing to me. They're just charging to cover overhead and prizes. I doubt they end up with any/much money when it's over.

25% of profits will be going to The Wex (because they are running out of buisness)
25% of profits will be going towards prizes
50% of the profits will be going towards various needs (internet, free pizzza, free drinks, etc.)
