LEt me say for the most part SPike Lee's joints usually envoke a "meh" response at best.
This on the other hand was a GREAT movie. It started a majority of the well known or at least well known faces of the black male acting community of the younger spectrum.
THe general summary is a postal work in his 70's just up and shoots this customer that comes to his window with a Ruger from WWII. The police search his house and find the head of a statue thats priceless in value. A Young reporter kid trying to get his first big break convinces the old man to tell him the story.
Really well done movie, without most of the socio-black vs white that most of his movies entail. (there is some but its more realistic in my opioning than trying to prove a point)
Highly recommend this one as a Netflix rental.
