April is over.
Minnesota leads the AL Central, and Saint Louis leads the NL central. CC. Sabathia is getting beat up, Cliff Lee and Ervin Santana are aces.
I love baseball!
Here's to Toronto taking the east! :devil

That's 4 no hitters that Varitek has caught, which is an MLB record. Probably a meaningless statistic, but eh.
I think it's time for the Yankees to try a different color thong.
Florida and the ChiSox are now division leaders...

yeah Hell has definitely frozen over, Florida has two teams competing for division leads.

And he should have had two more if Schilling and Pedro hadn't shaken off signs in the ninth inning on pitches that led to the breakup of their no hitters.

Albert Pujols single-handedly destroyed the Padres last night.
It's not hitting or fielding - it's Spartan combat!

That Schilling game still gets me. I'm pretty sure everybody knew what pitch was coming when he shook Tek off, obviously including Shannon Stewart.
Ibudin - Prince apparently tried a new vegetarian diet or something after last season, clearly he needs to go back to big macs and fries. Bringing in Eric Gagne and expecting him to not blow games after his performance in Boston hurt a little bit too but I expected Mil to be much better in spite of him.

"Just charged the mound," said Crisp. "He tried to hit me with a haymaker, missed. I threw a punch, I pretty much missed. I was feigning like I was going to go to first base just to get [catcher Dioner] Navarro off me a little bit. The rest went down to the ground."
Anyone who swings at Red Sox players = win in my book.

Crisp whiffed too. I like it because shields actually went for it, 99% of baseball "brawls" have the intensity of a pillow fight. And the guy was retarded for rushing the mound in the first place.

Two days of bad blood with these too teams, and Crisp gets plunked, that wasnt a wild pitch.

Even if that wasn't so subjective, my point still stands.
It was nice of crisp to give more proof that he's a little punk with his post-game comments.

Hopefully I see him pitch tomorrow. Been on a real string of good luck with free tickets this year. Sat 10 rows behind home plate on Saturday night, going to be in a similar spot tomorrow.

So how about CC Sebathia so far? He's looked great, and he's hit great too.
128 pitch complete game victory to go 2-0 so far for Milwaukee.

Hes an animal. The first night he was throwing 95 mph fast balls after 100 pitch count. The his last game he hits a homer, we are not used to this at all in Milwaukee. It will be depressing next season when Sheets and him are gone so soaking it up atm.

Offensively useless Royals shortstop Tony Pena Jr. showed off his curve last night when he was brought in while KC was getting blown out 19-4 bu Detroit, retiring all 3 batters he faced, including Ivan Rodriguez on a strikeout looking.
The question this raises is: can Jimmy Gobble, who gave up something like 10 runs in one inning, play shortstop? The guy is ineffective when he has to do anything more than get a lefty out and he can't possibly hit worse than Pena.
I really wish we saw more of this sort of thing.
