But I thought that the Global Warming issue was an enviromentalist issue. Last time I checked the eco-terrorists were Liberal in nature.

Seems less "from" and more "to" the Bush administration. It reads along the lines of "The World is ending and the Bush Administration doesn't seem to care". The article also seems to suggest the planet is fucked reguardless if Bush does ratify the Kyoto Accords or does nothing and also that individual states are acting on their own. Seems very alarmist journalism that could panic alot of people and maybe hit the stock market in a manner of nothing short of saying "An asteroid is about to hit the earth and we are all gonna die". If it was published just as a political tool against Bush, well, thats perhaps going a weee bit far. If its serious, I would rather not know about things no one seems to be able to stop or control.

There's a school of thought - I forget what it's called - where people basically believe the end of the world is coming in their lifetime or pretty soon after. Tie it to religion or whatever, they all get grouped into the same category. When Bush was first elected he was equated with this measure of thinking. To these folks there's no reason to deal with environmental measures that think long term - we aren't going to be around that long anyhow.
