And no...The train in VT just happened this past Saturday, I guess it's the lack of appropriate action and the tolerance of Ninja looting that the officers of FD decided to just give up trying to negotiate with VA officers.

So what have we learned from Palimax's and other VA officers posts?

For the record, that log you posted shows nothing. No one is disputing that there was one time that FD and VA killed the Emp together and that we got approx 15. rifts from it..

15 Members being let in our raid to loot rifts does not and will never constitute VA helping FD kill the Emp.

Emp warping to zone in is a bug that was happening across all servers.

I first heard about it in monk chat, and I laughed at the idea of it. Then it happened to us not once but TWICE upon someone failing the encounter.

This wasn't just something that someone in guild figured out, it was a verified bug across all servers.

At the same time as this, a bug was happening in VT that allowed warders to spawn at the wrong time, effectively cockblocking the rest of VT if you killed blob1 before warder pop.

Well since I have been dragged into this now and Chenoa seems to have a very selective memory.....

On the emp raid where I did indeed ask for their help both VA AND FD ended up wiping out. FD managed to keep someone in emps room feigned and kept moving him around the room untill he popped to the zoneline. VA wipeing didn't cause the Emp to pop to the zoneline, Emp didn't spawn at zone, he spawned on his pillow where he was supposed to. Also FD managed to get emp to zone Twice. VA wiped out on one of those attempts but not the other so there is no way you can claim VA wiping caused the emp to pop at the zoneline. The first time FD managed to get emp to the zone, VA and RiP were at the portal waiting to see if FD would succeed in killing him or not.

As for VA engaging Blood when we knew we couldn't handle it, well we did kill the the Blood, the Emp got into our CC people before we could get him positioned and that was the cause of our wipeouts, ours and FD's on that spawn. After the GM had moved the emp back to his room then we made another deal to back off and let FD have the emp uncontested in exchange for 15 rifts. We had 50ish people in ssra after the GM moved emp and both guilds were waiting on the bloods PH to respawn. VA left the zone except for the 15 people who were getting rifts, as requested by FD to cut down on the lag. It was on a later emp kill where we had taken down Blood and were engaged with Emp when FD ported up to the emps chamber and watched till we got Emp to 50% health then cast not one but two aetl's when it was obvious we were not going to fail. VA never has and as far as I am concerned never will intentionally blow a spawn for another guild. Killing the Blood and wiping on emp isn't blowing the spawn intentionally, we were new to the encounter then and let emp run amok in the CC.

Hmmm, if that is true it is the first I heard about it. I think it's safe to say you are assuming most of the officers are OK with that. Not true to the best of my knowledge. Ironically, the player we jokingly referred to as "king of the AFK" in VA has moved on to FD. Hopefully he is more attentive for you folks than he was for us.

Also, with regards to the incident where a shard was looted by a member of VA in ME, I was the VA class leader to decide his fate. Given the circumstances (open body for several minutes, no one around to claim the body), I felt booting the person from the guild was harsher than was merited. I did make plain that looting any item from a kill not your own was not acceptable and would not be tolerated a second time. I dropped the person involved from a full member back to a probationary recruit status (where he remains), effectively taking away his looting rights until I feel the lesson has been absorbed. Any further incident of this type will result in his getting removed from VA permanently. I apologize to FD for not personally making his punishment known to FD before now. Was it severe enough? In my opinion it was though you are free to disagree.

For my part I have found many FD folks to be fine upstanding players and have no issues grouping with them or even cooperating on raids should the occasion arise. I do think there are a few people in both our guilds who dislike each other so intensely that problems are inevitable.

It seems that one of the officers was aware of the shard being looted. This is also the same person that trained us in VT, as we were setting up CoTH. He/She probably got excited on getting the key completed and wanted to zone in to check out the zone, thus causing a train, thus killing a bunch of members trying to start CoTH from the zone in. It is a understandable situation but again not a fictional one as it was put in this posts.

None of us have heard anything about our members training you guys in Vex Thal. Apparently you felt it better (if it really did happen) to keep it to yourselves in some lame attempt to collect a smidgen of dirt on us.

I was not online that day, so I don't know the details. Even so, if he did inadvertently train the VT entrance, I would not boot him from VA for that either. Screwing up in a zone you have never been to before is not a capital offense in my book. I can see where it would piss you all off, but I really doubt it was intentional. No matter how many times we post RAW FACTS, Chenoa wants to post how we're changing our story. Chenoa, there was a night, in Ssra, where 15 (or so) members of this guild assisted Final Destiny in a kill on Emperor Ssraeshza. Your contention is that were were only guests, not participants. Nobody denies the participation. We contend, based on Emperor dying a week later (and regularly afterwards) that your assesment of our abilities is... ...flawed.

The real story here is that, tired of stepping on each others dicks over Emperor, we tried to make an agreement that would cause the least tension between our guilds -- we'd not contest the spawn (which we certainly could have - even if we failed, we could have fought for it, risking despawning Blood), but instead we'd have our extra people stand down, and we'd simply get rifts.

Thana, as you're well aware, we require people to be at "the majority" of a raid to receive participation for it. Many of our raids include checkpointed logs at which we award partial DKP - as to reward those people who don't just show up for the kill. Nobody, myself included should, or does, receive credit for being AFK at raids, constantly on /follow or /afk.

Question: Do I /afk frequently? Yes. Absolutely. I have a family that includes a 3 year old. Minor domestic emergencies are normal and she comes before EverQuest.

Question: Do I abuse our DKP system by parking my feigned or /following body at raids, to soak up DKP and strip it from other people? No absolutely not. Which is why every log from every raid is posted for every member to see.

Do you get that, Top-10-Necro Thana? Our DKP system is 100% auditable by any member of our guild so that people like you taking pot-shots from up on high can get laughed at.

Fortunately for FD and probably unfortunately for VA, FD has a strict guild policy that we do not Flag or Rift/key people from guilds if said guild has not killed the target on their own. At the time VA had not killed the Emp and it is not FD's job to let a guild that at the time was unable to kill said target. So by allowing those 15 people to loot those rifts before VA was able to take down the emp by themselves, I am guilty of only one thing. Violating my guilds policy on backflagging/keying other guilds.

The wipe proved nothing relating to numbers. All it showed was that there were some execution errors which were analyzed and corrected for the next encounter. The fact that we killed Blood despite having an enchanter die and helped the CC until the Emperor got loose among them proves that we had the proper CC.

If what you said is true, why exactly did you deny Tikya's request for the rift? It was well after we had killed Emp at least twice by ourselves, if not more, and were just getting rifts for the stragglers that missed the other kills by that point.

funny how people remember different things, as I remember it wasnt that long ago, you had an ivm tag over your head, and it was a pretty clean fight, as you asked most of the people to leave us alone, no one else was fighting but us up until the end where you can see a wizard was nuking me, and I STILL killed you. I don't recall you killing me at all, talk is cheap.

and honestly, I'd prefer a duel over just another head to head in the bazaar arena, in a non problematic zone so you can't run out and heal, hide, or have a friend hiding nearby to buff, heal, or nuke on me like you did last time. So I'd say, some place like west commons, or hell Cabilis if you prefer as I can hear you complainig about kos green guards or something.

Touch of Mujaki is a lifetap.

Seeing as how spells don't show their damage in PVP, it may make sense that lifetaps also don't show how much they heal in PVP.

But, being a ranger and only having lifetaps available through weapon procs, and not having attacked a player in months, I haven't been able to directly observe the behavior of lifetap spells in PVP.

believe it just drops the damage of the proc.

Fortunately, I do have a lifetap proc on one of my weapons, and a willing accomplice to test them:

The damage numbers for lifetaps are hidden from the caster in PVP, but the healing from the lifetap is indeed shown.

So it looks like a druid, shaman, cleric, beastlord-buffed Thana was at full health through at least two castings of a 66% reduced Touch of Mujaki.

Meaning she just flat out kick Tzaria a new one. Wouldnt matter how buffed Tzaria would be that little bracer you see on the UI is a handy little ATen HAHAH your buffs gone Ra bracer. If the pet was thought to of had sow+ what ever else then ya should of dispelled it yourself. Not to many spells for a necro to keep up during PVP..life tap life tap...depending on resists BOT,DP..what ever else you can annoy them with but its mostly how much you can life tap for over and over till next they die or you go OOM.

Its not that Tzaria had only self buffs on... its that Thana came with what looks like full raid buffs. I assume some *were* dispelled seems how my buffs never fade right in the order they were cast. Not having those buffs could have altered the outcome no matter what anyone says...... either way rematch with nothing on either necro, I'd like to see it.

also on the matter of buffed vs non buffed , i would assume thana`s gear would pale in comparsion to tz seeing that thana is in FD and they have only just enterned e planes like 3 weeks or so vs , the other is in ivm and they have been clearing time for 4 months, and been e planed since may last year or so ,

while the buffs i`m sure gave an advantage, it shouldn`t have been that large of one, seeing you should have more hp, mana regen so it should have equaled out some ,

maybe you should try for a 2 out of 3, 3 out of 5, 5 out of 7 etc. etc hehe

and yes, damage is lowered for pvp, on dots, nukes, and life taps, on life taps it doesn`t say how much damage you do you just se so and so staggers, but you do see a you have healed message .

The majority of my dueling experience is with wizards, but ultimately it usually came down to who had the better clickies. We'd end up doing clandestine operations to kill eachother too. Levitate and run up pillars and hide, train eachother, etc....

I meant Class BotB as it was... I mean we lost half of our winners when Darkwind left our server.... dueling isn't just about gear anymore... yes, it has alot to do with it but I bet if BotB was held again the winners would be from many different guilds instead of just 2.

Lost to a Darkwind Necro that was the only one to have Banish Summoned or something to that effect.... he left to AB server so Thana is top dueling necro on ARo =p... I say she takes on Vhex... c'mon you 2 give us a time and place so all can watch =DDD
