Yes, very much so. Upgrading to 3.5.2 mostly fixed it for me though.

None here. Anytime you have Firefox trouble, try creating a new Firefox profile as the first step. That fixes 99.9% of weird problems like that.
Would that transfer my bookmarks?
That is one of the reasons I want Firefox back....

No. Either export them and re-import, or use XMarks to sync them independently (probably best).
Okay I don't know what the problem was but I ultimately had to remove mozilla and reinstall it.... normally I would have just stuck with IE but man, Mozilla just works sooo much better..
Thanks Sanch.

If you don't use addons with Firefox, you might want to give Chrome a try. It's even better than Firefox, if you don't need Firefox's customizability (that's probably not a word).
Chrome is a browser? or a Firefox add on?

It's both, separately. Chrome (http://www.google.com/chrome/?hl=en) is Google's browser, a unique program; Firefox's interface/skin component is also called chrome.

Firefox backs up something like the last weeks worth of bookmarks, by the way - you can google how to find them if you need. Twice now my crash lost my bookmarks (I have hundreds of them) and a quick restore from the Firefox directory saved me.

Haven't had any problems with crashing. I don't use any add-ons, which might be why.

If you're not paranoid about the privacy issues around sending your bookmarks to someone else's server, definitely check out XMarks (http://www.xmarks.com/). You never have to worry about them again that way.
Especially nice if you use more than one computer regularly.

I am paranoid, but thanks for posting - that looks useful. The reason I haven't used other internet style bookmarking services is the sheer number of bookmarks I have.

I don't blame you. It's probably smart to be paranoid about these things.

Chrome fixed all of my Firefox issues ;). I only fire Firefox up if I need to use any of the web development plugins that help me step through page elements.
