So I was playing some Starcraft 2 Brutal Mode and wave after wave of zerglings caused my graphics card to not only overheat (without warning, mind you) but actually melt a little bit. Its toast.

I can buy a new one, but I'm thinking it may be time to get something new - though I don't really know what to get.

Any good suggestions on a replacement model for my Dell XPS 630i? I generally pop 2 graphics cards into a box since I have 4 monitors so room to add another one would be ideal (they're mostly for the edit system that shares my desk via KVM setup).

I'm not sure I can justify more than $2k on the video gaming computer either... though if I put photoshop and dreamweaver on it maybe I can call it a business expense :)

Well how hardcore are we talking here, you can do a lot with 2Gs, and do you want to put it together yourself, or premade?

Ya know, to Dell's credit they sent a guy to my house today and 10 minutes later he had it all working normally again and was on his way for free. May stick with this box for a little while longer yet I suppose.

SC2 is threaded, thus benefiting from quad core. Yes, your chip is fine but if you are looking at a busted rig than maybe check out the new Sandybridge chips. Otherwise, go big or go home. You can afford it Kelraz.
