I couldn't pass this one up as this week's game of the week :)

In the effort to be a better Vwinner this year i took the time to research the games this week. armed with the knowledge of all the stats , trends, and numbers effecting this weeks up coming games i feel 100% confident i'm gonna blow both this one and the W. Virginia game.

Ill have to wear my LSU cap I got from the LSU vs Oklahama bowl game for this one.

Mike Williams was impressive at USC too. Akili Smith was impressive with Oregon. Andy Katzenmoyer was impressive with OSU. Tony Rice and Rick Mirer were impressive at Notre Dame. Tony Mandarich was beyond impressive in college. Todd Marinavich was impressive at UCLA. The list goes on and on. Impressive college careers does not = impressive pro careers in many cases. Roy Williams will have to proove to me that he's even a competant NFL receiver before I believe he'll put up much of anything against a talanted defense such as the Bears.

This game is usually a nail biter. Last year LSU won 7 to 6 and the AU field goal kicker missed 5 field goals. When he missed the one early I groaned thinking it might be dejavu :p


Hell, Back when I was at AU, they had a year alot of folks were picking them to contend for the national title. 4th quarter, Auburn up 6-0, under 15 seconds to go, LSU recesiver catches it in the back corner of the endzone for a 7-6 win :p

It was a hellova game. If I hadn't gone with this for the game of the week, I was going to go with Notre Dame/Michigan. After seeing how that game went, I was glad I went with this one :p

This was a real bummer for the LSU party I was at :(

But we managed to still consume large amounts of beer and bbq :)
