We're getting a terrabyte data-server installed, and I'm going to be allocating about 100 GB for the Ayonae Ro media files. This means you will continue to enjoy downloading your favorite TV episodes off Ayonae Ro, however, the cost of the bandwidth will require me to include some Google AdWords on the tracker and media server for the inclusion of this space. I'll also be including a torrent tracker.
The ETA of all this will be around September. So stick around!
vBulletin is a pain in the ass to upgrade...

I've got 2.5 seasons of Deadwood sitting here begging to be uploaded.

are the adds going to just be on this forum or on the whole board?

Just in the downloads area and on the torrent tracker. This will be done to mitigate the cost of bandwidth for media files. Google AdWords are known to be very unobtrusive to other content. Ads will not be placed on the forums for now.

Plus, Adblock and Filterset.G 100% eliminate Google ads for anyone that it really bothers.

Quick question: if we ran a torrent tracker here, how many of you would actually use it?
Anyway, I'm taking a break away from work after the 23rd, so I'll be in Barcelona then Paris for two weeks. After I come back, I'll likely be entangled in work related stuff for a few weeks and then try to implement the new download services.
The new download server software will be based on a MVC-framework, either Java (Hibernate/Struts/JSP/Spring/Textile) or Rails (Ruby). I can't use .NET because work is being a bitch about Microsoft...

I would. Too lazy to manually download lots of stuff, but hitting torrents and coming back a few days later to find them all done is fine.
