Born Tuesday 10/14/2008 at 10 AM was Olivia Challyn. She weighed 4 lb 6 oz. She was full term; she's just tiny. Completely healthy at least so far. She gets to go home on Friday which is the same day as my wife, so everything is normal there. Ten fingers, 10 toes, passed her hearing screen, heart seems normal, blood sugar is normal, she's alert, she's never been on a respirator or in an incubator. She's just tiny. She seems to weigh about the same amount as a football, and she's way too small for newborn clothing. Target unfortunately doesn't carry any premie stuff, so I have to look somewhere else tonight.

Just thought I'd let you guys know.

You might try finding a Babies "R" Us store,they may carry the smaller clothing that will fit Olivia.

Babies R Us had no premie clothes either, but thanks for trying. I will post some pictures of her when I get the camera out of my wife's hospital room today.

I know for a fact they make premie clothing..... just internet buy it.

Well, the person that went to babies r us yesterday and told us they had no premie clothes was lying. Went today and found one rack with premie clothes and bought about 50 bucks worth. Not a ton cuz she won't be able to wear it in a couple of weeks, but got some stuff that didn't make her look like she was swimming in it.

Nice to hear preemie clothing is easier to come by. Both Ryan and his sister were preemies, and it was much harder back then to outfit them. Ryan is 24 and his sister is 34. And, while Shauna is still needing to wear her hair high and tiptoe to get close to five feet, is very petite and still gets carded, Ryan is just under six foot and around 225, so there is no truth that preemies always stay tiny. It is different for each baby.
