This is something I've been mulling over for a few weeks, but I'm not sure if it would be good or bad.

Would you find it useful/interesting/neat to be able to see the last 5-10 rep hits left for anyone? Still anonymous (unless the rep-er signed it in the message), but visible to everyone.

I think it could be interesting to see feedback people were getting on particular posts, and it might cut down on the likelihood of people leaving particularly nasty rep messages.

What do you think?

I like it... finally people can see some of the ridiculous rep hits I get :)

I suppose it would be a good idea but really no extreme opinion either way.

I do have a question though, at what point can you see who wrote rep messages to you? Do some have the ability to see who wrote them or is it always only visible if the repper signs the message?

This was why I was concerned about having the rep system in the first place. I think nasty rep messages, particularly the anonymous ones, have no place here, and should be a part of the public discussion. I would much rather have someone publicly call me a curmudgeonly old asshole than to leave a sneaky message behind closed doors, so to speak; we used to see more of that, flaming if you will, before the rep system. Hmm, did I just suggest the content of my next neg rep hit?

I hate bias against lurkers. :( I've been in Ay Ro for, jeez, 6 or 7 years now (holy crap... didnt realize it'd been that long). I should be able to see who reps me, even though I dont post as frequently as the other long-timers.

On topic though, I'm with Cados that I think it'd be interesting to see, but I have no strong feelings either way. If you forced me to one decision though, I'd probably say "yes" to it.

I don't like it, because sometimes I leave a rep almost like a PM to someone. It will just reduce the number of postive reps I give out ( I Haven't given a negative in a while now)

It doesn't matter, I generally sign mine pos or neg and negatives usually go to the same person...I support the greater good.

I sign my posts, good and bad.
I would like to see who gives positive reps to certain posters, though. Espically when a few months back they were so far in the hole, Mandrin was necessary to get directions...

I think Taleren makes a good point that I did not consider.
