I still remeber when it first came out of the PC .. back inmid 95 or so. Best game ever, had fun playing online and joinned up with a Jade Falcone clan. I need to see if I can get my hands on my old CD's and a Sidewinder controler hehe I need to praticce up on using my jumpjets and coming down on someone for a DFA (Death From Above) kill :D

I never could manage a DFA.

There are some older games that got me started - a top down RPG style, a crude RTS, and the original Mechwarrior, where you went up against the Grey Death Legion...bastards in Battlemasters. Decent enough games, although nothing today would run them.

I have a re-release of MWII, supposedly updated for Windows, but I never managed to get it to run.

I think I played one of these. I'm really looking forward to this new one. I used to play pen and paper Macross. Think I was pretty hooked on the darksun/DnD games back then on my lightning fast windows 95,lol.

MW2 was fantastic. This one looks decent, mostly because they are sticking with the earlier source material and original Mech designs.

If only they'd make this into an MMO /sigh....

I always thought the best days were early in the Clan invasion, on the IS side. I wish they'd make more stories about that period. Post Clan invasion just got weird, especially when everyone was running around with Clan gear. But the early days of the war, when the IS didn't know what they were fighting and were outclassed - that still has the most appeal to me.

This was probably one of my favorite games in the 90s. I used to play with my brother and friends. Good memories, I will check this out when it comes out :)
