Was thinking about picking up a new RPG. Anyone have any suggestions? Was thinking of something along the lines of Baldurs Gate. I think i have a copy of Neverwinter Nights sitting around somewhere, Are the add ons worth getting back in to it?
Anyhow, any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

I just picked up NWN Platinum that has all the add ons. I haven't gotten thru the first one yet, but it has been fun so far.. a lot like Baldur's Gate was but better.

Oh yeah.. D&D Online is in beta and should be out in Feb or March. That should be fun as well.

I am also holding out for Vanguard.. I really like the idea of the no-instancing thing.. Bring out the drama and conflict in an RPG-Game! Well, lets hope not ALL of the old type of drama and conflict. But I at least want to see some PVE-Competition in an MM0 Again.

Grum are you under any kind of NDA in this period of the game? If not, do tell your impressions of that game. I was curious for a bit but something about the game just didn't sit right but the tinge of curiosity is still there.

I'm not sure about any NDA fild, when you create an account you tick a box saying you've read the rules, so it might be contained in there - however i'm under the impression that this is just a huge publicity stunt and therefore they'll be relying on word of mouth for advertising.

I heard the light and dark thingies lasted about 6 seconds...surprised you got on at 7:01, Grumblin.
Vanguard I heard it was April or May next year, but I could be wrong.

I realize most of the games mentioned here are PC RPGs, but I recently purchased Dragon Quest 8 for the PS2 and have been having some fun with that. Having played the first 4 on the NES, it's been a nice bit of nostalgia playing this one, and entertaining to boot.

Been mostly playing console RPGs myself.
Really liked shadow hearts series for PS2.
Got Magna Carta, which despite being an excellent game, was very disappointed to find out it had absolutely nothing to do with the signing of the magna carta.
