Jesus, I thought the Ravens were supposed to have a defense. 30-10, yeesh!
Looks like I may not be working much next month :(

I am considering paying both results after tonight's game on the Steelers/Chargers game (this does not benefit me as I actually bet on the Steelers not to cover). The touchdown at the end of the game should have counted (even the ref said so). There are a couple betting institutions today that are offering refunds to people that bet on the steelers to cover or allowing people to scrap that game and pick the game tonight if they were in a parlay.
What are the folks' opinion on this? Again, this doesn't help me as I picked the 'correct' result, but I hate to see people get 'jobbed' by refs that even admit to blowing a call and taking points off the board after the game was over.
Opinions please...
Go with the official result.

It's hard to look at 'official result' when paying out bets though when there are gambling houses throwing out the game.

The bets aren't that high on that game anyhow, and that was a BS call. I say pay both out or none at all.

pay em both out. Not like its a lot. ( I didnt bet on that game)
Great now we can start second guessing the results of all the games if there was a bad call.

I would say to only second guess bad call games when actual betting sites (for real money...) are paying out or making changes. It's not like they did this with the Denver/San Diego game or any of the others this season.

Are the betting sites paying out both sides or just refunding?
I may not understand the situation correctly. They way I understand it is the refs made a bad call that didn't change the outcome of the game, just the betting lines?
Is that accurate or am I missing something more key to the situation?

I am abstaining from this argument due to having a bet in play.
I will say, however, that I like the fact that people are discussing the game and the way it is being viewed in the real world of betting. I am not sure if I can ever recall a similar situation where even the major betting houses were addressing such a situation.

This is my point here.

After reading about this a few days, and seeing that Vegas for the most part paid along the lines of how the game was finalized, I'm going to only pay on the official results.
If someone has a beef, I more than understand. If you want to push for a reimbursement of your bet, you can take it up with Sanchek. I can't null a bet without either paying out a winner, or taking the money from everyone with no winners and all losers.
I can't hold the payouts though, we need everyone to have what points they should have for the games for the betting to resume on either thursday or friday (whatever day I put some lines up).

Well done, Tal.
I almost feel some sympathy for the betting houses dealing in real cash. There is virtually no precedent for this scenario, and I am sure lots of folks are foaming at the mouth. I wonder what changes may be instituted as a result of this game's ending, seeing as how they almost always seem to want to adjust everything because of one thing, hehe.
