The reporters are all abuzz about this one.

"After the Rose Bowl, Vince Young was on the top of draft boards, but now his stock seems to be slipping. Questions about his delivery, his decision to not throw at the combine and his Wonderlic test score, are plaguing the Texas QB"

"After spending time around each, Michal Smith has little doubt Matt Leinart, Vince Young and Jay Cutler will all be successful."

He's been projected as a top 3 pick. After the stories of his wonderlick scores, he seems to be slipping.

Put your money where your mouth is ;)

I'd like it if the Packers could pick him up at round two, after they pick AJ in the first.

You know I just don't have a good feeling that hes going to play well. In practice, scrimmages, and the couple snaps he took in games he didn't look that good. Maybe given time he will be great but at any rate we need a back up for Rodgers or at least some competition. Nall signed with someone else..forget who so that leaves Rodgers and Favre and hes got one year at best left..unless he has a spectacular year and wants to break more records then he will be back.

Something tells me we will probably pick up AJ or if hes still around Mario but looks like Texans are thinking him in the first round, then one would hope we would pick up some guards. Doubt Pack will blow on a Q back.

I dont know about Vince, but Leinart is a fucking pussy and he needs to stop trying to score guest appearences on Laguna Beach and try playing some football.

Young will probably go early in the draft, but I don't know that I would put him in a top spot. Someone already mentioned that he might not be as pristine and he seemed. I would hate to see any team draft him and pay him a huge salary and then wind up with a lemon... it's happened too many times in the past.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens...

Couple more days, and the questions will be answered.

My money is on GB picking up a defensive guy. Easier to win when you don't have to score 42 points. Offense gets the glory, defense wins the game.

If defense won games, what happened to the cardinals last year?

Or better yet the BEARS!

The Bears still suck.

Baseball sucks first off... Sorry still a little jaded about the strike from a couple years ago and all this steroid crap that is happening. Actually I don't mind baseball, just wish all the prima donnas would quit the game (this goes for all sports btw).

Give the bears a mediocre defense. Still think they make the playoffs? Yeah the offense has to convert, but if they only have to score 14 or 21 points to WIN a game they are more likely to do it, but if the defense is that bad where they have to score 35 points every game to win they will not make the playoffs.

Flip that coin around... If offense is the answer why can't Manning and the Colts take home the title? Bottom line is that teams have to play on both sides of the ball. If the defense shuts the other team down offensively then their offense doesn't have to produce Colt like numbers to succeed. Look back to the Oakland / Tampa Bay Superbowl or the Redwings / Devils Stanley Cup games.

I'm not saying that an offense can't find a way to beat someone, but if a defense has their number it's over. A good coach will use the tools/resources he has, to play to the opponents weakness to win a game offence or defense. It's just that a defense will win the battle more times than not.

Mario is gone which sucks.

"The Green Bay Packers appear to desire tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson of Virginia even more than they covet tight end Vernon Davis of Maryland in a suspenseful National Football League draft that will begin to unfold late this morning." From jsonline this morning.

I can't believe they would pass on AJ Hawk if hes still available but one would hope they would pick Vernon next. I am not a huge fan of tackles, at least in the first round.

All the questions will be answered very soon. Farve may ask them to pick up the TE to help offensively, which may be the case, but I expect them to pick up a defensive guy to help the D. If they pass on Hawk it will most likely be because they don't think one of the following teams has much interest in him before they get to pick next. From what I've seen/heard Hawk is more of a leader which the GB defense needs.

hehe... and Leinart is still on the board after 4 picks. Someone wrote how he must be kicking himself as he would have been the first pick in last years draft if he would have made the move. Young will probably ride the bench and learn. Leinart will probaly start where he ends up.

up to pick 10 and Leinart still on the board...

The Laguna Beach transformation is complete, with rumors abound that Leinart has paired up with Paris Hilton.

I can't imagine any NFL coaches taking this guy very seriously. Half the coverage on him is about his desire to be marketable in Hollywood, not his football skills. Kurt Warner needs to bitchslap this little shit back to Hollywood.

Why do you always use foul language, you sound like an idiot.

"Bitchslap" and "shit"... After what is said on these boards... How about you go fuck yourself you spineless pussy?

If I'm such an idiot, why the underhanded negative rep? What's that make you?
