Thought of the day:
Don't put 22lbs of boost in a stock eclipse "turbo" modified engine.

meant to say "turbo modified"
i saw this link a while ago somewhere, where they listed more info about it.
never put turbo into an N/A engine was basically what i was trying to say.

n/a means normally aspirated there. As in, not turbo.

Heh, he's right, GSX doesn't come as an n/a at all. However, I don't think you'll find any mass produced car that comes stock with 22psi boost. So, it was obviously modified a bit from the stock GSX config.

I think he would have been fine if he would have been watching his rev's.
Looked like stock pistons/rods too. : (

Sanchek, another site said the car was not a GSX but rather a GS.
doesn't matter.
22psi will destroy any block over a given amount of time. After 15k miles that shit is gonna be fucked up. If you drive like a grandma and only drive for like 10miles a week it will last longer.

also people dont warm up their turbos, they just go at it.

meh, it says GSX right in the filename of the video. 22psi can be used easily if you put in BPUs, some people have 30psi+ street legal cars, and most of the time people only use high boost for racing and low boost for normal driving. his rev's were fine, probably he was just overboosting it.
